1993 Japanese baseball cards

Last Friday definitely netted some oddities. Among them were two deck like boxes of Japanese cards. The are team sets for the Marines, and Hawks and are part of a game. That is pretty much all I know about them because they are from Japan. I don't know who any of the players are, so both sets are available for trade.

Not sure what the significance is between the red and green.

Now for the Marines.

This is what the backs look like.

Each team/deck/box came with 32 cards including a team card and I guess a checklist. They also came with a sealed game board.

They are up for grabs. Who wants to trade? Tomorrow should be the 1974 TCMA 1910, 1911, 1913 World Champions and the 1914 American League Champions Philadelphia Atheletics.

  1. I think the color is for positions - green for hitters, Red for pitchers and Blue for catchers.

  2. Looks like Lee Tunnell and George Wright at the bottom of that second scan.

  3. Also, #18 for the Marines is Hideki Irabu, and 8 is Max Venable.
