Trick or Treat?

Boo! Did I scare you? Probably not. So lets have a go at 1974 Topps trip cards.

All PC guys, but these 74's are heading to the set build.

I was only able to add 13 cards to the 1974 Topps. I really this set, front and back. Lots of awesome photography, especially Shadow Shots like that Dolphin on Skip's card.

1973 Topps trip cards

Almost getting to the end of the chronologically run of the "trip cards".  Now, normally tomorrow on Halloween, I would post from my Holiday binders which are at home in Florida, so I can't, so we get to look at more 70's cards tomorrow too. Today we look at the 73's I found in the boxes.

A lot of big names. Of course many will eventually hit the upgrade lists. I'm okay with that.

I was able to scratch off a few numbers this go around.

More big names.

A couple of nice shadow shots here.

The numbers are getting higher. :)

I think I need to add the Krauss's to my Names binder.

and the numbers keep rising.

Check out that Standard Oil sign on Rivers card. Cool.

Okay so I added 45 acrds to the 73 set build, including some high numbers and big names.
I can live with that.

1972 Topps trip cards

After getting those 200 or so back in August, I wasn't able to add too many 72's.

Most are big names in this group. I wish that Clemente and especially that Mays card was in better shape.

Some great trivia in the cartoons.

A couple of names in this group.

Cya!

1971 Topps trip cards.

From a Georgia boy whose home is in Florida, and grew up a Bulldog fan, then converted in my early twenties to a Gator fan and for the most part residing in GA at the moment, it is not a good afternoon.  The Dawgs are paying us back for last year.  OUCH! With interest too.

A little rough.

The sad part about today's Gator loss, largest deficit since 1982 by GA.

I can however, take something good away about the loss......

that the longest steak in college football is still intact and growing. The Gators have scored in the last 368 games. It's something..... right?

I'm looking forward to next Saturday, as it will be time to go to the Jax. card show (certainly glad it wasn't this weekend). I didn't go in Sept. or Oct. so I'm hoping to do well. Now to finish up with the Gator game. I wasn't expecting Florida to win today (3-3) going into this game, but I did expect them to give GA a little fight. Afterall, Georgia was and is undefeated 8-0 now and will more than likely be ranked #2 behind Alabama.  Dab nab it, lol.
