More incoming and the giveaway

The winner last night was: Derek

Next we have some cards that came via NY from Bo.

Bo was able to find these hits for my Braves team needs. All I can say is keep em' coming. I love marking off needs.

Masonic Monday: Ancient Egypt?

Yes, you read that right. Want to know more? Read on.... but first I am letting you know that all of my life I have been fascinated with Ancient Egypt. Maybe it was all of those Indiana Jones movies as a teenager I'm not sure. What I am sure of is that a long time ago I wrote a Thesis on Akenaton (a-kin-na-taun).

I find this stuff interesting, then again I am a buff. This post was the last Masonic Monday for February. In the line-up (a spin on baseball of course) for March are the following: John Wayne, Buzz Aldrin, Henry Ford, and Voltaire.

How's that for a variety? The winner Friday night was: Jeremy.

Next incoming package and the almost daily FREE baseball card giveaway contest.

The winner last night was GTT.

Okay, I mentioned the other day that I had several packages come in. This post contains cards received from none other than the Owl.

Yep, needed all of these.

Needed these three as well, (in hand). I did already purchase them and are sitting in my inventory over at ComC. Greg beat them to my house. I don't mark cards off of my want lists until they are actually in hand. I do however, mark them with an * if I already have them sitting elsewhere.  Thank you Greg. See you can hit my needs. New and old alike.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Dime Box part two and yeah you know already FREE FREE FREE cards

Picking right up where we left off last night with part two from Nick.

Again, Nick sent another near complete set. Still need three more cards to complete it. These cards are oversize like the cards from 1953 would be.

Nick did send another set, complete 22 card Greenville Braves from 1990 Best, but I had that set already. There were just three names familiar to the big leagues: Turk Wendell, Kelly Mann, and Al Martin who I only remember being dealt to the Pirates and playing for them. Again, thank you Nick. I appreciate all of the hits to my needs list.

The winner last night was: Jeremy

Nick part 1 plus the almost daily giveaway.

The winner last night was: DefGav

Nick sent a bubble mailer loaded with Braves needs. So many that I will have to make 2 posts to cover them (and I left out an entire set).

Artist Proofs, pink refractor, holo prizm, Greg Maddux VARIATION (the red background), minis, autographs, and gold and that is just the first 9 cards. Thanks Nick!

I don't have a lot of the E-topps cards and certainly didn't have this one. You can seethe minor league cards above.  This is just a tease, we know Nick reigns with those minor league cards.

Nick sent a near team set and combined with the ones I already had, I now only need 2 or 3 more for this one.

What a Week that was. Plus freebies.

The winner last night was: Night Owl

Wow, that was a hard week of posting. I think I got everything out there. Anyways, some normalcy now. I've had several traders, bloggers, readers send some cards of late, let's get started with some surprise cards from Jeremy.

I needed all four of these Braves parallels. Technically they weren't a surprise as Jeremy let me know before he left home he was bringing them to my house. Thank you again Jeremy. It was nice meeting up with a fellow blogger (especially when I didn't have to go anywhere). Jeremy and I met up once before at the card show in Jax. While Jeremy was here I was able to hand deliver his bonus prize from a couple of weeks ago, you'll have to find out what that was from him if he so chooses to post them. He was limited on time (apx. 3 hours) so I prepared what I thought he could possibly go through in that time frame. I consider myself a pretty good judge on just how fast to get through boxes. It worked out as he was pushing it, but got it done and was able to take home about 4K cards. We'll have to see if he get those posted because I have no clue at any goodies he found.

I'll have several more incoming posts to get to from Dime Box Nick, Bo, and the Night Owl. Stay tuned.

It's President's Day! As well as Masonic Monday and the FREE baseball cards.

The winner Friday night was: GTT.

Now let us start off with the little stuff.

I'm suspect these are from the 1972 the reprint set. Not sure and don't remember, but when I bought them they were supposed to be from the 1956 Topps US President's set (36 card set). I felt and posted back then that the condition was just too nice, that doesn't mean that they are necessarily the reprints but I'm just saying.

These bad to the bone Bowmans' are from the 1952 set.

Now that some of the little stuff is out of the way.

I'll use this episode for the usual Masonic Monday.

I know that some of the above (and below) cards have been shown this week and I can not be positive that they are duplicates. I may have had them handy when I switched laptops and may have just scanned them to the new (current) laptop. One day in the neat future when time permits I will know and if they are in fact doubles I know someone had interest in the Reagan above.

This wrapper is from the 1972 Topps reprint set for certain.

These coin sets are courtesy of Uncle Fred.

Above are the Presidential covers and other than any I've already used will at some point this year pop up on the Masonic Monday theme with the article included.

The above three books/magazines are from my collection. I had picked these up a yard sale just around the corner of my house here. I believe all 3 are from 1964.

I said that this would be a blowout tonight. I hope I met that description.
