Vintage non sports

This closes out the card show. Pretty much good old non sport stuff.

This is a 77 card set and I picked up 41 of them.

I always grab whatever Apes this vendor (my favorite at this show) has. One of these days I'll actually make a needs list, lol.

I grab all of the Look n See cards too.

Beatles COLOR!

I gotta throw a few baseball cards in.

These marvelous Exhibits came from fellow OCTer Jim Craig.

I am still NEEDing a Griffey collector who hasn't received the box yet preferred, or even one that has made their way through the box, they cards have changed. It is still jam packed full.

Have a great night!

Need a Griffey collector

The post office is calling my name. Will the next Griffey collector come on down, it's your turn to play the Great Griffey Giving Box game. I'm ready to send it out come on. Highest bidder (without going over) wins, just kidding who is waiting their turn at this box?

Surprise surprise surprise

For those of you younger folk, that's a quip from Gomer Pyle.

I received the Great Griffey Giving Box yesterday. I wasn't really expecting to find a whole lot that I needed. Well, I was wrong. I'll explain on a separate post highlighting the cards I pulled. What I really need to know is "Who's Next?"  Do you collect Ken Griffey Jr. cards, if so let me know in the comments, thank you. Now, for tonight's cards. The "Surprise" in the post title is related to these cards ( I knew the GGGB was coming) that came down the coast all the way from New York. Greg Night Owl (NOC) dropped an unexpected treat in my mailbox.

Three for the Miller Binder, and I know I need them which is good as that too is a "collection" that hasn't been sorted, checked against list, and put in the binder in 2 years either. Those Fire cards are my first parallels from the set (I don't have any Braves parallels or inserts), as well as my first insert.

Pretty sure I need the Chrome, not so sure on the Archives.

Now for the Braves Greg sent. Needed both of these!

This is a needed mini.

Had these two, plus an extra for the Chipper PC.

Greg sent along a nice looking 54' too. Check the Braves list, already have it, but wait let's check the set build, dawg gone it, had one there too. This must be what Greg feels like when he gets some Dodgies in, lol.  I know I unload a slew on him, figuring he know's other left (wrong) coast fans, hehehe, that he could pass the ones he doesn't need to. Thanks for the cards Greg and the needed break from PC update.

Have a great night!

Gee whiz

Sometimes it's hard coming up with a quippy little post title, but this one was easy. We made to the Gee's on the PC posts. I say posts because I am actually half way through the PC Update by being half through the M's. Well half way through this round. LOL, Once I get to the end of the alphabet, I get to start all over again with the A's (after I break apart those set builds I decided to "unburden" my self to complete them. Not to mention those sets I have completed that will be ripped, shredded, demolished, and the like. Not all of the sets I completed of course, just the ones I am no longer trying to complete the run on.

PUD GALVIN: ZERO

Card Show stuff and my 1,000th post

Here are the most of the goodies I picked up a couple weeks back at the Jax. card show. Except for the "new to me" Braves and a few other things. Those will be another post.

These teams sets, yes team sets. The extras outside of my PC's will go into the trade box.

FOUR.... consecutive years of Drakes! All in all there were 1 or 2 missing  from 3 of the 4 sets.

This one was complete.  Kind of reminds me of those Squirt cards.

Just showing 1st and last of each grouping. Again almost complete missing like 4 cards. This comes in handy for the PC guys that don't have a card yet, lol. Yes, breaking all of these up into the PC's.
Everything seen above came for FREE, so to speak as part of that Kellogg's deal.

One of my favorite vendors had a slew of these from all sports. I grabbed up all of the baseball even though some are mere trade fodder. The Cimoli didn't come from show. When I got to Valdosta, one of my Uncle's caregivers found it in a box she was going through and put it on my desk.  I used it here to show the size of the BIG cards.

The years ranged from 77-80.

HMM, do I put it with Morgan or with Garvey? Wait, is that Fisk too, I can't tell.  Decisions decisions.

There is a "play at the plate" for you, sort of.

Non PC guy, but it will work for the "Signing" mini collection.

I scanned these so you could see the cool "lingo" on the back, get it lingo. I didn't even realize this was going to be my 1000th post, until I published it (I had to sneak back in and edit).

Have a great night!

Wow!

It has been a crazy couple of weeks around here. 2 trips to Florida, a couple of damaged shipping crates for a new hospital bed for my Uncle, and dealing with a mortgagee in North Carolina. Just crazy! I will have to go back and forth home to Ocala more frequently now as My 19 year old has moved home (which is an AWESOME thing), however the car I just bought her is going to need a lot of work,  and I will also more than likely have to go to northwestern North Carolina (via Marietta, Ga which adds 6 hours to the trip each way).  I'm so exhausted. And it's only just starting.

let's relax a bit with some goodies from the January Jax. card show.

i forget already which vendor I grabbed these 2 vintage Bowman's from.

Some variation short prints from 2017 Topps.

Another variation of Kershaw.

Now the cards below came as throw ins on the Kellogg's deal I posted about.

I got the near complete set, missing only a few cards, which of course I broke up for the PC. I already had this set build in progress so I will have to break it apart too.

I'm guessing that is a variation Brett, the Cespedes is the metallic snowflake.

These cards were all in a .25 box, and I pulled about 1000 cards out of and made the Kellogg's deal.

I would have been happy at .25 a piece too. But hey those Kellogg's were spanking the budget.

Grabbed about 50 of these varying years 7-11 Slurpee discs.

Again, near set missing just 6 cards. I broke it up too and will also tear apart the set build I was already working on.

Last but not least is this card which I bought outside of the show from another collector.

My first baseball Tebow!

Its was supposed to snow here again like 2 weeks ago (to the day), but it didn't maybe tomorrow, lol.

You folks have a great night.
