This post is loaded with scans, so sit back and I hope you enjoy all of the Red, White, and Blue!
DISCLAIMER: The first 50 or so scans are rated E for everyone, but after the fireworks there are some scantily clad ladies some not wearing much at all. So if that kind of thing bother you OR YOU ARE NOT AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD do not go past the FIREWORKS.
No worries about accidently witnessing something there is plenty of space after the fireworks show so you can get out.
Before we get going strong I have put up some athletes who celebrate/celebrated their birthdays today.
Topps has now gone like Donruss and made every card a parallel Independence Day. I prefer the insert set myself.
Iwo Jima, the moon landing, and Crystal Smith win this round.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fourth!
ReplyDeleteLove the A&G Creed card. Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteSo much good stuff! Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteWhat's the story with the flag-face guy? (Next to the Civil War soldier.) Was that something they did during the Civil War?
You should find a George Steinbrenner card for your 7/4 birthday collection. They always made a big deal that he was born on the 4th of July. Most famously when Dave Righetti threw a no-hitter on July 4th.
Well, I dare anyone to beat that!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of red white and blue. Happy Independence Day!
ReplyDeleteA nice blitz of cards to commemorate the 4th of July...the girlie cards are so dated in my book, but still interesting to look at.
ReplyDeleteUSA! USA! Heather wins it, if you ask me. BTW, Mike Ford of the Mariners had a nice day today, and was the first MLB player to hit a dinger on his 4th of July birthday since like '79.
ReplyDeleteHappy and safe 4th!
ReplyDeleteLots of red, white and blue. Nice stadium cards. Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteGotta get a Creed card for myself. And the only worthy Panini Triple Play card is the Fireworks one haha. Happy 4th everyone! USA!
ReplyDeleteAs always, I see sets and stuff I have never seen before here. And no, I am not talking about the ladies!
ReplyDeleteWell done finish to the 4th of July.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Independence Day, John!
