Great news at least for me. I have finished going through all of the "new" cards. Everything from the card show, trades, ComC, and SportLots. Fourteen days and done sorting and scanning. I even have updated my Braves excel sheets and set builds. I have updated my web page with the set builds too. I now get to work my way through the Braves additions on my website, then do my thing with TCDB. Because I am not getting any where near updating my PC's those will just keep in the boxes to be done at a later date. I usually update that every two years (even numbers) but because I am now adding them to TCDB I won't complete that goal this year. I have over 1500 PC guys in all and I have updated a dozen or so. Yeah not looking good at finishing that update this year. That's 30,000+ cards to go through sort alphabetically, then chronologically, then check to see If I have them in my excel sheets and if not add it and then add everything for that specific player to TCDB. That is a lot of work, but I know once I get what I already have listed in there it won't be such as task..... just a routine. Then after all is said and done and I am back home in Florida I can get them into their individual binders. Yeah that will be work too, but will be enjoyable and fun. I expect that I will be home in the not to distant future as my Uncle is not doing well at all. Whole other story there, but he is going on 100 now and just worn slap out.
Okay with all of the personal stuff out of the way let's do this:
Still knocking down those parallels and autos. Just a reminder that I have finally figured out how to get things done simultaneously between COMC and SportLots. Ran through all of Braves excel sheets. Remember that last COMC order was loaded with Bowman. Well this is the remaining Bowmans from ComC (SportLots will have some too).
So you are seeing lots of the other brands now.
That is the first ten scans of the vertical Braves, ten more tomorrow.
Last night's winner was: JAFRONIUS
You may not feel like you are getting enough done, but I am amazed at how much you seem to do. I'm working on a card organization project right now, and its taking me forever!
ReplyDeleteContinue to be amazed at the amount of cards that you're posting. Trying to do that would kill me.
ReplyDeleteGood Job! 👍
More Allard autographs!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your uncle. I hope everything works out for the best with that situation.
When you are back in Florida, we’ll have to get together on one of my days off.
YOU BET!
DeleteWow, you are either really fast or spend all day doing cards. Either way is awesome.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite of these is the "modern strokes". Nice different look.
Really hope the Braves can overtake the Mets.
Both. While in GA, about 16 hours a day. I'm pretty damn fast too. I certainly want the Braves to take the division.
DeleteWOW!
DeleteI may not be a Braves fan, but they certainly have some talented players.. I'm just hoping Mike Soroka doesn't turn out to be a walking injury. I'd like to see him come back and do well.
ReplyDeleteLet's just say that Tom Glavine looks more comfortable in a baseball uniform.
ReplyDeleteHope you can spend some quality time with your uncle
ReplyDeleteHoly autos and relics! Some cool stuff there. And Glavine looks like he should be in one of those presidential card sets.
ReplyDeleteI'm torn on those Goodwin Champion Tom Glavines. They are great looking cards, and having him out of uniform is a creative was to get around licensing, but it's missing that "baseball card" feel...
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of work, hope all the updates doesn't sour you. Continued prayers for your uncle as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your uncle's troubles. You've done so much for him, but there are some things that even you can't do...
ReplyDeleteA. 14 days of sorting... sounds both amazing and painful at the same time. Obviously... it's fun to go through cards. But my bad back could not handle sitting down and sorting for that many days in a row.
ReplyDeleteB. Sorry to hear about your uncle. He's lucky to have a nephew like you who looks out for him.
C. Glavine looks like a politician on those Goodwin cards.
