If scantily clad ladies offend you please refrain from scrolling down. These are vintage arcade cards that are basically the same as the Exhibits cards in baseball. These were "prizes" on boardwalks and other arcades of the 70's. When you didn't have enough tickets after spending all of your money playing games, you could always get these for a ticket. The vendor (again my favorite vendor) said they used to call them penny cards. I grew up going to the boardwalk in Daytona every summer and I don't remember ever seeing these ladies, heck I would have used all of my tickets on them.
I see that double. But it was worth looking at twice.
That last one there is from the 50's. And you can consider this as a warm up to my next post. Take that for what you will, but it is where I am going to tease Gavin. That's all I'm saying.
Have a great night!
That is what I am talking about. Nice cards for sure....didn't even know these existed.
ReplyDeleteI'm half expecting a call-girl to knock on my door saying, "Johnny sent me. Here's a list of customs he wants, now take off your pants."

DeleteScantily clad ladies... offensive? Nah. I tend to look at these as pieces of art.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Fuji meant "tart".
