Tonight is this blogs 2,500th post. It has taken 9 years to get here. There will be an EXTRA giveaway to multiple people in addition to the normal "almost daily free baseball cards". However, the extra special freebies will not be baseball cards and is limited just to followers with US addresses (sorry my Canadian friends). The "special" freebies will not be 1 PWE hence the US addy thing. Probably two PWE's. Really depends on how many "entrants" there are, might even be a bubble mailer. With that said the winner last night was: GTT
Now, for the special giveaway just type Wacky Packages in your comments. That's right giving some ORIGINAL Wacky Package's from series 3 through 12. VINTAGE baby! I do also have one batch of the newer stuff series 8 if anyone wants it please say so in the comments.
The September Sportlots haul was large and will take a few posts.
That was a lot of Braves. There are two more Braves posts and one with PC guys. I certainly put a dent in the excel sheets. Still need tens of thousands more, but hey that is the life of a team collector. Anything that wasn't at bottom prices are still needed, lol.
That's a nice bunch of cards, but they are no Wacky Packages!!
ReplyDeleteI really like the 2011 Topps Pro Debut Andrelton Simmons - he looks like a player from the 1960s in that picture.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 2500! You've documented a crapton of cardboard over that span! Here's to many more.
ReplyDeleteMan, I bet that completed a few team sets.
ReplyDeleteLike that Javy Lopez catch ers card, very cool.
ReplyDeleteWACKY PACKAGES!
Congrats on the anniversary, thanks for the entertaining posts and giveaways.
ReplyDeleteThe lighting on that Simmons card does make it look like a 60's photo.
Never got into them funny stickers myself, though I had an empty album when I was a kid.
That East vs. West set looks interesting. Score/Pinnacle put out some neat stuff toward the end of their line.
Really like that Fulton County.
ReplyDeleteI'm very on the Fence about collecting Freeman. He sort of fits the Canadian thing, as his parents are Canadian and played for Canada in WBC. But with the number of cards out I almost have to cherrypick.
Not eligible for the contest, but who cares? Happy 2500!
ReplyDeleteyour still eligible for the regular contest
DeleteWoo, Wacky Packages! ... I don't know how you keep track of all that, trying to get a handle on a team collection is tough enough.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the big 2500! Wacky Packages for everyone!
ReplyDeleteWacky Packages (plus newer stuff series 8)
ReplyDeleteHappy 2500th! Here's my entry in the special contest--"Wacky Packages in your comments".
ReplyDeleteI guess the cut-off is 12AM Eastern. Oh well!
ReplyDeleteyou're still getting some wackys
DeleteI got them in the mail today. Thanks for including me. They are definitely funny. I remember some of the 1970's series from when I was in Elementary School.
DeleteIt's hard to send you Braves when you have them all! Congrats on 2500...I would also say you may have the blogger record for scans!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the milestone, John. That is a lot of posts! Lot of scanning, too.
ReplyDeleteI've got about a hundred cards sitting in a Sportlots box right now, and here I thought that that was a lot! As slow as I am with sorting, and posting, these days, it'd probably take me years to get to all of the stuff that you have in that one picture.
Congratulations on #2500! I'm 76 away from that milestone... but not sure I'll ever reach it.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it!
DeleteCongrats on an impressive post milestone!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 2500...how cool. Wacky packages (newer)!
