Penny Braves

UPDATE: SORRY FOR THE VERY LATE POST, BUT i JUST SPENT THE LAST 5 HOURS AT THE ER WITH MY UNCLE: COVID. BOTH OF THE NEW AIDES HERE HAVE COVID AND BROUGHT IT IN. I WORKED SO HARD TO KEEP THAT DAMN VIRUS AWAY FROM HIM. HIS ONLY SYMPTON IS A FEVER LOW GRADE EVERYTHING ELSE IS FINE. I HOPE TO BRING HIM HOME TOMORROW, WE'LL SEE.

This batch of Braves came out out of the three 800 count boxes that I actually hand pulled initially before I decided to make the deal on all of his cheap boxes.

All needed Braves.

Penny a piece.

I did finish going through the 7 monster boxes and I wound up with about another 100 needed Braves.

I haven't scanned those Braves yet probably tonight if not I'll just file them away. I do have a couple of posts of the "hot" rookies already to go so those are what's on the agenda for Thursday and Friday. They came from the nickel boxes as I just boxed up the ones from the penny boxes.

  1. A small part of me would be upset to go through all the monster boxes for cards and then just buy them all, haha. Sorry to read about your uncle, hopefully he gets over it fast!

  3. Hope your uncle is okay. We've had a lot of positive cases pop up at my school the past three weeks. There was two periods last week where I had less than 40% of my class attending.

P.S. Didn't even realize penny cards were still a thing. Awesome stuff.

    1. Yes, plenty of them stars included! With dupes, so there are plenty of extras.

    2. I'm busy right now, but I'd be interested in trading sometime.

  7. Sending all my best to your uncle! I can only imagine how pissed off you must be, but you've done everything that you possibly could; certainly more than most people have done to try and keep their elderly relatives safe.

    1. It just go to prove that masks (surgical and kn-95) don't help a damn bit. No-one came inside this house without wearing one. Even then, I only allowed 2 visitors inside last summer so only the aides came in recently. I know exactly the first time (last Wednesday as a matter of fact) when I heard one of the aides coughing) She was double masked. Didn't stop the Cron. At least he was double vaxed (not boosted) and only being hospitalized because of his age, not symptoms. He's a tough old coot, don't make them like him anymore for sure.
