Kellogg's

Just a little break from the trip cards. I figure a couple of posts should do it.

These beauties came in a surprise return package from fellow OCTer Tim Morales. Love the 70's, and the 71' ain't bad either.   The Carew is the only one with any cracks, and I can live with it. Best part no curling.  Receiving these inspired me to pick some Kellogg's up.

I went with an unopened factory set from 1981..

It was a little exciting to open these up, I've never done this.

Needless to say, I was quite pleased even though they are 81's.

Loaded with stars.

I was so tempted to leave them as they were in 3 card panels, but alas I just had to put them in order as I looked at each card, perfect..........

  1. Too cool. Possibly the greatest moment in collecting baseball cards as a kid was the day when the complete set of Kellogg's cards arrived in the mail.

    1. I was never fortunate to have ordered the sets my self, so getting this one felt GREAT! lol.

  2. Very cool! I seem to be in the minority, but '81 might be my favorite year of Kellogg's.

  3. If I had to pick a favorite oddball set... the 1970 Kellogg's baseball set would definitely be in the discussion.

  4. Love the 1970 Kellogg's. Nice that there were few cracks and no curling. Of course curling can be somewhat cured by storing in penny sleeve/toploader, or in a binder that is filled nicely and not saggy and not overflowing either.
