Who says there's no Baseball?

I watched baseball today. Here, we do not have cable, or satellite, or even wi-fi. Clear TV. Yep. I connect to the web for my web surfing from my $5.00 hot spot on my phone. Yet, I watched baseball today. We get 15-19 stations that varies upon the weather. Today we saw this......

Yes sirs (and ma'ams), watched the entire game today! Fox was broadcasting its Greatest Games, and 2001 World Series game 7 was TODAY. Great game, because it 18 years ago we all know how that game was a fight right down to a bottom of ninth rally by AZ. Anyway, great game. While watchinh the game I realized that both teams were a bunch of "old-timers" for the most part. I'm sure there were many "pops" and "gramps" in both dugouts. I also realized that 15 of the 27 players that saw action in the game are PC guys. How about that.

Enjoying the game when the season hasn't begun. I also got something in the mail today relating to baseball too, but that will have to wait til Monday or Tuesday to post.  HINT it isn't cards.....

  1. One of my favorite World Series games of all-time. I would have loved to rewatch that game.

    1. I didn't see it back in 2001, so this was a treat yesterday for sure. Sorry Yankee fans.

  2. I actually never saw that game. I was at a long, multi-artist concert that had been postponed by 9/11. During one of the breaks between acts I went by a TV and saw the Yanks had a lead with Mariano in the game and figured it was over. Later Little Steven (who organized the concert) was introducing the headliner and someone yelled "Who won?" He said, "You don't want to know. The Sopranos lost (the Emmys were the same night), the Yankees lost." That didn't bother me, as I'm a Mets fan, but I was shocked that Rivera hadn't held the lead. Great concert though!
