Blogaversary

Today is August 5th and just so happens to be my blog's anniversary. Year 6. I probably should have used this post instead of the box of Chronicles. No worries, I'll drop two today.  I've really appreciated the trades I made via the blogs. I've even made a bud or two. Earlier this year I was considering just dumping the writing, and become a reader. Heck if I don't find me a new card show close soon I may have to. Hard to write about baseball cards when you're limited to your cards being in a different state than you are. I really need the card show pick ups. I may even have to sneak into to that Jax card show to see a couple of buds and get out quick. I don't know. So for right now let me just give away some cards.

Rules: 1) Be a follower of this blog.     2) Comment below.      3) First 10 different followers will get card/cards.

That's it. Pretty simple

  1. Congratulations!
I've said this before, but Inwish we could've hooked up for some card trading when I lived in JAX.

Always look forward to reading abou tv the stuff you find, as I would go to those same shows.

    Good job!

  5. Card shows are the best way for me to add cards. So, I totally understand you desire to find one nearby. Best of luck and happy blogaversary.

If no card shows, try your local Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace

  11. Congrats on six years, good sir! As for your current dilemma, I know the card show itch all too well, but sometimes a run through COMC or other outlets helps smooth things over (at least temporarily).

  13. Happy 6th, John! With all of the trading you do, I can't imagine that you'd run out of content, you might just have to spread it out a little more, that's all.

    1. Content wouldn't be the problem. I literally spend 10+ hours each and every day with baseball cards. I go through several thousand each day. Been like this for years, so I have to grab tens of thousands of cards each month from shows so that the excitement of the "finds" carries me over to the next card show. It's that excitement that I need to make posts/rather show off cards or deals and what not. No, I have plenty of cards for content, (they 99.9% of them are back home) but still with me are plenty of cards to come up with content. My problem is after a few weeks of looking at the same boxes, I'm done with them for the most part. Need to feel that new deal feeling. Ya know? (I typed that like Cuba Gooding Jr was saying that to Tom Cruise).
