ComC part two and the free almost daily giveaway

The winner last night was: R.J.

Closing out the non vintage ComC cards from October tonight.

That 9 card lot looks a little like Christmas. Appropriate.

Knocked out a lot more Braves off the team needs.

Now for an update on me getting back home. I have finally cleared the house (inside) and the huge detached garage (outside) of everything that I am not taking back to Florida. There are still 3 other small outbuildings (not really buildings but covered areas) that need cleared and the monstrosity in the massive attached garage/work shop, and an attached utility room. This week was huge as for getting stuff gone. I hope that over the next 2 weeks I finish everything. Then I am going home hopefully around the 15th, for good. I will have to come back here for the stuff that I need to take home, but obviously I will need to make space for that. Then "clean" the house and put it up for sale. Anyone interested in a 3 bedroom 2 bath 1,580 sq. ft inside plus the two garages that are 20x24 or larger each all sitting on 3/4 acre in Georgia near the Florida line? The house is brick, the roof is brand new and on a corner in prime time location 2 blocks (same street) from the College. I am going to miss seeing those gals walk and run by everyday, well most days.

  1. Your uncle's house sounds like one of those places on American Pickers, building after building on the property crammed with interesting old stuff.

    1. I was speaking with American Pickers a few years back, but wasn't able to make it happen.

    2. That would have been awesome. That's my favorite show. In another life I would love to do what they do.

  2. It's impressive you've got so much done so soon. Gotta be exhausting. Best of luck wrapping it up.

    1. I sent some items to family, set some aside for family yet to be picked up, donated a lot: books to libraries all over south GA, historical items to museums, local charity for handicapped adults (the bulk went there) like antique furniture and paintings collectibles etc, I also had a "picker" really a hoarder come get a lot, I mean a lot. One of my clients from FL sells stuff on Ebay she came up and got a car load, 1000's of blankets and sheets donated and delivered to area animal shelters, clothing (men's) to a local shelter, several pieces here and there to specific people close to Fred, and what is left (and there is enough to fill an entire flea market up still) is either going to the picker or in a dumpster, that will be a shame as there is $10's of thousands in stuff in that garage.

  4. Never seen one of those 'Lasting Imprints' cards (Smoltz). It looks cool. Good luck with the house sale, too far from family for me.

  7. Best of health to you as you continue to work out all of that estate. Yes, the snowman cards are appropriate for the season and are really cool. I've never seen anything like them before.

  10. I'm sure that's exhausting work, but sounds like you're nearly there.

  11. When I went down to Vegas to visit my dad over the Thanksgiving break, we started going through stuff and getting rid of it. It's going to be a slow process, but every time I go down... we'll sit down and look at what he wants to keep, what he wants to give away, and what he wants to dump. My siblings will do the same thing when they visit him too. He's pretty excited, because most of his life he was a hoarder. My mom was sort of a hoarder too.
