OCTOBER CARD SHOW plus some free baseball cards

The winner Friday was Derek who goes back to back for the 2nd time.

I did drive over to Jax 11/5 (Saturday), didn't grab too much. You'll have to wait a bit to see those pick ups more so what Fred (my dealer buddy) had for me.

Now let us get this party started.

The four scans above came from Kyle's boxes. Kyle has a shop in Deland I think, and does a lot of breaks that Fred attends live. Kyle usually sends a few higher end boxes back with Fred to have on his tables. Sometimes, they are marked $3.00, sometimes they are marked $5.00. These were in the $5.00 boxes. Now I didn't pay that, Fred usually cuts me the best deals, right Jeremy? lol.  Nothing especially great here. My guess is they cost me shy of $2 buck each.

The rest of the scans below are basically teasers of some of what is to come on future posts. Specifically a $100.00 deal from Fred which did include what you see below and then some.

Funny thing Fred had another of these at this past show, I left it and grabbed another one that was also National league but older than this one and slightly different logos or the placement of them.

He had this stuff  (all kinds of odd ball things like the coins) scattered all over a table and I was grabbing it and throwing into a box (big tub....large) he had in the back of his section because he had two 1968 Baseball/Cadaco games set aside for me. The games were complete, but the pieces and the discs were reproductions. Still okay, I now have 3 of those 68's my other one is complete with original parts along with those that I have from the 40's and 50's.

This is a small box like a shoebox size.

Here is a peek at what is inside.

A bunch of this stuff you will see later. Also a slew of regular large pennants that I did not take pictures of.

I am not sure if I already own this specific set or not. Either way, I am probably going to break it up for Player Collections. If you DO want to see the cards scanned please let me know in the comments. I still have this box sitting under my laptop table.

Okay that is all for tonight. We'll get into actual cards tomorrow.

  1. The Unleashed cards look cool back to back - probably better than they do on their own.

    1. There were a lot of skeds, not sure that I scanned them though (it's been a month). Decals I did scan and the small pennants too.

  9. Love all of the Wander Franco’s you’ve been picking up lately.
Those are some cool oddball things bi like the bats, the patches, and stickers with the old school logos.
I frequent 2 card shops in DeLand. I don’t believe anyone there is named Kyle, although I might be mistaken. There are also 3-4 that I haven’t been to, so I’ll just have to take and off day and scout them out when I have the time and a little extra cash.
