Last night's winner was: SCC Matt
Thank you Veterans and your families also. Everyday should be Veteran's Day!
Below are some baseball players who share this day as their birthday.
There are others but I no longer check the birthdates at least not like I used to.
That's quite a few. I feel ya on the birthday checking. I can't see much at all anymore it feels like.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone has a good veterans day - especially the veterans.
ReplyDeleteToday is Rabbit Maranville's birthday.
Yeah, he's a PC guy and don't have any dupes to put in this file.
DeleteLooking at Ownie Carroll, I wondered if perhaps he was a vet as well. He wasn't but it inspired me to find someone both born on this data and a veteran. I found Bill LeFebvre, who played professionally from 1938 - 1944, then joined the Army in 1945. (https://sabr.org/bioproj/person/Bill-LeFebvre/). He only has 2 cards though according to the TCDB, neither from a major set.
ReplyDeleteTwo Hall of Famers born 11/11, Pie Traynor and Rabbit Maranville. Both born in the 19th century, well before WW1.
ReplyDeleteboth PC guys too
DeleteI agree. Thank you, all Veterans and families. Congratulations Matt!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY VETERANS DAY! 🇺🇸
ReplyDeleteVeterans definitely deserve more than the couple of days they currently get.
ReplyDeleteThank you veterans!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
I am always meaning to look up players birthdays as well. Especially for mine
Thanks to all veterans out there
ReplyDeleteHappy Veterans Day! Not to be all nitpicky but Quinones and Snyder are on the list twice.
ReplyDeleteThank you to all of the veterans.
