I actually used my cheat sheets Saturday as I poured through boxes of vintage. The boxes were dollar boxes, but as I am a bulk buyer and repeat customer....it is always much less. This trip cost me a quater a piece for the vintage. I grabbed one 1960 Topps.
The backs are great!
I also grabbed nine 65's:
One of the 65's was an upgrade.
Nice group with several Gold Glove winners. Rojas was a 5-time All Star. Versailles was the 1965 AL MVP. Altman had a successful Japanese stint. Roy Face's name was Face. Tug was the closer on two WS winners.
ReplyDeleteNice ones! Really like the Tug McGraw in particular.
ReplyDeleteI once had that '66 Wes Parker - a long, looong time ago.
I love quarter vintage!
ReplyDeleteThe 1960 Topps manager cards might just be the greatest manager cards ever created.
