Full kitty

 Last Friday I received my large Sport Lots order (732 cards). No I didn't scan them all. Most were set build needs. By most like 95%. I did scan the cards for the high end sets and will have many posts highlighting those cards. Tonight though, I will be showing the Braves. Not as many as you might think.

I guess you can say this is a prelude to to the high end sets with Museum and Sterling cards. 

The Elite and Rabbit cards are from 2014 Panini HOF. Drove me nuts trying to find the Elite on TCDB as I did not remember they were from the HOF set. Speaking of TCDB, every since Fuji laid mentioned to his ranking stat at the end of February I have been pounding it with my Braves team sets. I am not #1 yet, but I will be when I am done later this month. I have about 3,000 more inserts and oddballs to check off. That should put me at #1, not by much but I'll take it.

Two more 49's

 I got the next two 1949 Bowman Braves in. 

They came from two different sellers on Ebay. The Bickford was bought a month ago and just arrived Friday. Mailed on the 22nd of Feb, so the post office was to blame. A month to deliver. My bigger issue was just how big of a dixk the seller was when I reached out to him. A total prick, not once but three times. 

The newest T206

 That is the newest in my collection.

There was supposed to be one more, but it didn't happen. That would have been the last (or so I thought) Braves T206 that I needed, Bowerman. Turns out there are a couple of Bean-Eaters that I still need. I believe it is just 1 so down the research rabbit hole for me.

 Okay so I was able to squeeze 3 posts out of the package from Dimeboxes. Thank you Nick.

I picked some good ones here. Some are for set builds others are for my PC's.

I mean a Byant rookie, come on. I know it is an extended rookie, but still.

Thanks again Nick for the cards and the ten years.

Now my kitty is empty again. I do have a couple of single cards I can throw out on Friday. Thursday is St. Patty's Day so that one might have some old files I can use. Not sure I haven't looked yet.

Braves from Nick

 Bringing you the Braves that Nick sent to me.

As you can see Nick found plenty of Braves needs for me. 

A lot of needs.

Not a bad day crossing off those needs. No, that is not a 1991 Topps Mike Stanton card. It is a 1991 OPC Mike Stanton card, and Nick sent two. One goes to the set build. I need a lot of 1990 & 1991 OPC. Blows my mind.

In the Nick of time

 Scans were and are on the skinny here at JTS. Missing out on the card show in Jax last weekend put a damper on things, but Thursday I got a nice fat bubble mailer in. It hailed from Norridge, IL. Yes, I got my goodies from Dimeboxes' 10 year celebratory giveaway. I guess you could say just in the Nick of time.  (Thank you Nick).

Nick's care package was filled with lots of goodies. Some were cards I had claimed from the giveaway. Some were Braves.... a lot were Braves cards and I sorted through those this past weekend. Some were just PC guys or set build needs that Nick threw in as a bonus. Like the cards above. I may have claimed a couple of them not sure at this point.  I will scrounge my way through those Braves many of which I had never seen before. Looking forward to seeing just how many hit my needed Braves.

Night Owl

I figure that post title might draw lookie lou's. Greg recently sent me a batch of Braves.

I pilfered my way through them and found some I needed including one of the 2014 Topps (series 2) 1975 buybacks.

 And this beautiful Hank Aaron insert too. This post cleaned out my scans. I did get a bubble mailer in last night. I should be able to pull a few posts from it.

Minnie collection/PC

 When Minnie was elected to HOF, I realized it would be far easier for me to just buy some of his cards from Sport Lots than it would be to go through my vintage dupes box to find any of his cards. 

I was able to pick these up on the cheap to go with the few I had. 

I also added some O-Pee-Chee set builds needs too.

This post wraps the previous SL order. Now I will pull the trigger to get that 700 card order shipped to me.

Sport Lots part two.

 Next round of cards. I totled these scans as "cool".

I mentioned awhile back that I liked these Aces cards.

So I grabbed a few along with some Topps On Demand Topps X Jeter cards. Of course the cards aren't of Jeter, just the set name.

Yeah, cool works for me.

Let's do some whittling.

 Things were much better yesterday, almost normal. Today is good. I figure I had better start whittling down that last haul from SportLots as I am now ready to ship the huge one (technically 3 box orders) to me. Let's start with the Braves.

Okay, that is all of the Braves I picked up last time which was a while ago. I have close to 700 cards getting ready to process out of SL.  They won't make it here before I run out of the few posts I have scanned cards for. I'll have to come up with something to bide the time. I probably should ship my ComC inventory too. Skipping the Jax run is the culprit, but no way would I have made the ride let alone the day at the show. There's always another one next month and also 1 back home. 

The Latest

I didn't make it to the card show this past weekend. I had food poison and I will leave it at that. I am feeling better now. Not 100%, but much better. I'm bummed, but I will get over it. My uncle lost his taste again last week, but I think it maybe coming back around, we'll see. 

Awhile back I made mention about finishing up my Bowman Braves run and that I needed to get busy on the 49's.

Here are the first two new additions. One grey back and one cream back. I'll have a couple more in hopefully for next week.

My 2022 Topps and a few 2021 scragglers.

 I picked up my Series 1 2022 Topps Braves team set from CardBarrel and snagged a few other cards too.

I'll get my 2 cents in on the 2022 Topps. The card fronts are good, the backs suck. Topps once again flip flopped the card backs and they look like shit in a binder. Some go left some go right, ugh! I grabbed up the last two Gallery Braves I needed and the last Archives Braves I needed too.
