Monday mini's: Bubble Gum last one so get your vote in

 So tonight will be the last of the bubble gum cards. I decided not to input the very recent new additions like the Nolan Ryan and Jeter Downs from the recent Stadium Club release along with some over-size cards that I didn't scan. Get your vote in for the best card tonight and sometime in the coming days I will tally our choices from all of the posts to see if any can knock the Bevaqua out of it's reign as king of the bubble gum cards.

There is no way I could go without posting the custom 9 card set produced by Gavin over at BCB. I even included the backs for you.

Franken Friday: Easy as 1-2-3.

 There are two more from this run after tonight. I think I will take a break from this series for a little while. This way I can try to finish up one of the "sets" I am working on. Planning on heading to Jax early in the morning.

In case you're wondering about the Franken-Set I am working on.....I have been having FUN putting it together. It will be one that I keep around. Have a great weekend everyone.

 Putting a bow on the Black Friday ComC order tonight.

I can start some other planned posts now. Like maybe that trip to the DeLand toy show back at the beginning of January. It has only been a month, so that is a good place to start next Wednesday.

Colors!

One thing for sure is that if you are trying to hit my want list (as far as Braves go), the parallel colors is a great place to start. There are so many that it would be impossible to have anywhere near all of them.

Looking back at the scan above I probably should have rearranged that bottom row to be red, white , and then blue.

Can't get enough of those old Pacific Ornament cards. Love em. I'll take them all please.

Yes that pair of dupes to start this scan was intentional as both guys on both cards are PC guys. They each need to have their own card. Fair is fair.

There you go, i knocked out a lot of Braves needs with this order from last year. I don't believe I have anything sitting in my inventory over there currently which is a good thing.

The Acuna on top (middle) has a story. 1) it was the last Brave needed for that team set. 2) somehow on Black Friday I added two of them to my cart, oops. The 2 Heritage closed out that team set too. The Harris Big League was the last Brave needed for that team set too. I waited so long for the price to drop before I pulled the trigger.

Monday Mini: Bubble Gum cards from the 21st century

 Time for another round of Bubble Gum cards.

I should probably grab up the remaining cards from that Opening Day insert set.

Okay next week will be the last of the Bubble Gum run this go around. I have added cards that have not been scanned since these, but in a few years maybe we'll do this again.

Franken Friday as easy as 1 2 3

 Before we get started with the Franken-set I wanted to let you know what I did on Wednesday (besides argue with Comcast/Xfinity). Normally I would run over to Ormond next week the Wednesday before the Jax card show which is actually a week later than usual. I decided to keep my routine and go anyway and maybe skip next week. Well, I'm glad I went and I will be going back next Wednesday too as there will be a surprise birthday party for Kyle (shop owner). I limited what I bought, but I did get some good stuff and will eventually get that posted, but the highlight was looking at a complete 1933 and 1934 Goudey sets along with a couple hundred extras. I said complete. I held 4 of 33' Babe Ruth cards in my hand and a couple of Lou Gehrig's too. That alone was worth the trip. Just amazing. The sets will be eventually be sold with one of the high end auction sites, but it maybe a while as they are going to have the set graded, and then most of the extras. I'd say one of those Ruth cards will come back a 6 or 7. Definitely running into 6 figures when they are done. 

It's also Groundhog Day. Will there be another 6 weeks of winter?

Okay now for my measly old Franken-Set. Tough act to follow.

 My internet is still down, I told them over and over it is the blankety blank modem. Anyway they are sending a tech out Friday night. I am posting from my brother's garage as he has got a bug, and I just soon stay clear of those.

Some high end Braves needs. I still have to update my website want lists, but hey I have been having internet issues, lol.

Yeah, I know I bought two of the same dang card. Not the first time (even on this order) and certainly won't be the last either. See the Anderson? Yes, there were others too.

Nope the Albies' are different, one is a bat relic.

As you can tell I count different colored swatches as different cards.

I doubled up on that Tucker large square swatch too, but didn't scan the other one. Yet, there are still more. I'll stop here for tonight and resume hopefully Wednesday.
