Going to be a brief one tonight. The next purchase at the show was from tables that had a bunch of magazines, programs, and yearbooks. The first table had a sign that read $1.00. I made my way through those and found two that I liked.
Jeter: not a problem, especially when he let me have all 5 books for $10.00. I was pleased for sure.
The winner last night was: RJ
I had no idea those magazines were a thing. I went to the Hall in 2008 and went in the gift shop but don’t remember seeing any. I still made out ok by getting a few magnets and a special 50 card 2008 Topps Tigers team set.
ReplyDeleteNice find for $10. I still have a Minnesota Twins gameday program from the 1960's. It's not in Mint condition, but it's not bad considering the age of it. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat's on the inside? Not asking for scans or anything like that, just a few words - a general description
ReplyDeleteI have a bunch of those Hall of Fame magazines. It used to be delivered to our office.
ReplyDeleteBulk deals rule. Nice pickups.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a Hall of Fame yearbook (not for the baseball Hall anyway) Great deal.
ReplyDeleteDidn't know they had yearbooks. Interesting that the card-themed cover is almost all junk wax. I'm guessing those aren't from the Hall's collection but belonged to whoever was putting together the cover.
ReplyDeleteThose are great! I may have to track down the Pedro covers..
ReplyDeleteIf you ever have an internal debate whether or not to show off some of those Yearbook or Program pages, I'm all for it. Also wondering what the difference is between the two.
ReplyDeleteThe 2020 Jeter one is cool!
ReplyDeleteThese yearbooks are really cool. I own the 2008 one for my Gwynn PC. I think the only other one I'd go out of my way to purchase would be the 2009 yearbook with Rickey.
ReplyDeleteGood find.
