More Presidential stuff.....This time 1965 Topps Embossed.

The winner last night was: Jafronius

Now these are 1965 Topps Embossed, The President's portion anyway.

I'm not sure if this is all of them, but I believe this is all that I have. I say believe because I am not positive. Things are still scattered.

  1. Unlike the baseball set, the pictures actually resemble the person they are supposed to.

  2. I'm familiar with the '65 Topps Embossed baseball cards but had no Idea they did this fro any other sets. Some of these look very sharp, Grover Cleveland in particular.

    1. Topps did a set called Presidents & famous Americans in 65' too. These are part of that 44 card set.

  3. That's pretty neat. I feel like I'm looking at a coin, but I'm not

  4. Don't know if I have ever seen those. I like the darker backgrounds better.

  5. I have a couple of the Baseball '65 Embossed. I wasn't aware that they had done the Presidents & famous Americans. Nice historical edition.

  7. I wonder if McKinley and Kennedy are in black because they got assassinated...

  8. Love this set. Amazing how much better i looks than the baseball embossed (both in the likenesses and the design). I only have one, Hoover, which it looks like you're missing. Is also interesting how the assassinated guys are black cards and the still-living (at the time) ones got white cards.

  9. I wonder if Topps made the McKinley and Kennedy cards black, because they were assassinated.

  10. These are nice. I wonder what the backgrounds are; I assume the black is for assassinated.
