Picked Pockets

The last few months Julie over at A Cracked Bat has been putting up some good cards. I chimed in most of the time this summer. Let us take a peek and my picks plus a couple of special cards Julie sent me.

All PC guys.parallels included.

Pink city which will come in handy in a couple of weeks. BTW.....Collecting Cutch is doing a contest in preparation for his upcoming October daily tribute to saving the , um  Breast Cancer Awareness month.

I definitely made some great picks for my collection and the Camo parallels go into my para box.

Now for two cards that get Jules some major brownie points...Who doesn't love brownies?

BOX TOPPERS/LOADERS Yes, these get Julie entered into the Oct & Nov Bingo games.

Reminder for those dates 10/23 and 11/20 (both are on a Friday). I will be e-mailing those cards to the following people.

Nick, Alex, AJ, PTown, Bo, DK, and of course Julie. there is still time to get me some NEEDED Braves to qualify.

I waited

I waited to see if anyone posted the new A & G. I guess I'll dump it on y'all.

Gold mini's. I picked these up last Friday.

regular mini's, but keepers.

Black, AG back, and RED (limited numbered to 25!) mini's. I'll post more mini's like inserts and others that NOT keepers.  Hint Hint Hint.

Inserts. Regular that is besides the framed mini relic of Arod.

Okay now for some base card keepers.

The shelves at Walmart were absolutely LOADED with 2020 A&G and TSC.

Mini inserts, and are NOT keepers.

Non KEEPER inserts.

Enjoy the week.

ComC: phase 2

I am not liking this thing (blogger). This post is my test post. Here is the 2nd batch of scans from my long awaited

ComC order.

These are some PC cards.  Just a short post to get it a run.

Life is good, make it happen.

ComC phase 1

Phase 1 of my long........very long awaited ComC order will be some cards for set build needs. Well, They were when I bought them anyways. I've probably picked up most of them elsewhere over the last 6 months. A lot of what I bought goes back to January.

Love them. I actually picked of a pair of the Rice card, one for his PC. You will see that one again in another post.

Now O-Pee-Chee.  OPC OPC OPC.

Put a dent in the 78' set.

I probably picked up most of these elsewhere.

Yes, I cleaned the scanner after these. Hopefully it works. Originally I said that I would hold off posting this insert set until it is complete, but that was before Covid, and now I just want it out of the way.

This is a 15 card DK DK set. I already had the other one, in fact I am pretty sure I have 2 different ones making it a 16 card 15 card set. Why is that? Because there are 2 #15's.

I really like that DK set. You can tell I cleaned the scanner, but it still isn't good enough. Just when you thought Windex could fix anything, lol.

Go have some fun.

Yesterday

Yesterday was my birthday. On my birthday I usually do a post running down the 9/16 history. This year I can add Hurricane Sally, not that a hurricane on my birthday is unusual....it is not. For 2020 I am leaving out all of that history and just throwing my name out there.

Had to put a baseball card in there.

See, I kept it simple. I'll probably start something new next year. Oh, maybe I'll post all of birthday binder cards, it should be updated by then. Wait, that might take the whole week. I'm good with that.

In other good news, about 1 hour ago, I got my long awaited ComC order. It will take some time to sort it all out, but I will start posting this stuff tomorrow.

Go have some fun.

Wacky Wednesday: 2020 Underground set.

The underground set is just 1 9 card set this year. There is a puzzle, and 3 ovary variations. I Have them all.

Drawing attention to the Coronox sticker/card.

This is the puzzle....Ovary show. I flipped the middle card around as it was not covered up so to speak. No need in showing the 3 new released variations as noted on the checklist. It is the same as the puzzle with a "scratch off" panty color. I own those 3 plus the blue, green, and I think the original. Not sure about that anymore.

Next week I will be showing the Topps July, the whole month's worth.

Be safe, have a little fun. Oh yeah, it's my birthday and normally I would be doing my normal 9/16 post. I will have to do that one tomorrow.

I'm calling it now (the World Series & our next Bingo nights)

Braves vs. Rays. How great would that be (for me). After the Braves whooped up on the Marlins last week 29-9. Wow! They deserve to go to the WS. Rays are kicking it pretty good as well. Sure that damn LA team is doing okay as are the Twins and both teams from Chicago. Add in the A's and Padres and it is still anyones chances. I want it to be the Braves and Rays with the Braves taking it in a sweep.  :)

Now on to Bingo nights. There is still time to get in on the fun and prizes.

The October game will be held Friday Oct. 23 7pm.
The Nov. game will be held Friday Nov. 20 7pm.

Happy Tuesday folks.

2020 Stadium Club. A big show

Saturday before last in Jax. I eyeballed the Stadium cub Hobby boxes. They were $120.00. based on the card count, it would 3 boxes to get enough cards for the set. However, still not guaranteed to get the complete base set. Sure autos are nice. But no way was I going to go that route. I came home and hit up Ebay. Here is the complete base set and the Bash and Burn set.

Looks likes something from the late 90's.

I'm only showing the card fronts. Yes, I rotated some of them.

The photos used are great, but for some reason I just feel like the quality isn't there. Not sure if it is the less glossy look or slightly thinner card stock. Just not going to be my vote for best set of the year, even with the great photos used.

There you go all 300 cards. Photo selection is great, but not enough for me to go nuts over. I am glad I only paid $75 delivered for the set. Throw in the $25.00 Ebay coupon even better.

Be safe.
