Trade Post

Okay, tonight I am wrapping up the football autographed cards that are sitting here in Valdosta. There will be 21 of them tonight, all SAGE. After these are gone I will start with the football relic cards and then basketball autos, and lastly move to the basketball relics.

The last of the football autos.  All sticker graphs, some players have parallel borders, like Williams and Harris above.

Have a great night!

2019 Topps AS Rookie Cup cards.

Keeping it short again today. here are the Cup cards released in series 1.

I might as well as put in my two cents on the 2019 Topps. Right away I noticed that the cards stock is thinner, almost flimsy to me. This is going to make it really easy to get corner dings. As for the design, i liked 2018 much better. I do like the borders, but I think last year was a better looking card.

Have a great weekend!

Short Post

Just a very short post.

I also have the SunTrust Park card. Now I just you need fine folks to send me all of the parallels, and the two variations. LOL.

Enjoy!

Vintage

Before I start with tonight's post, baseball lost another one of the great ones. RIP Frank Robinson.

Last week I was posting about my recent card show visit, and the Braves cards I picked up for a dime a piece. Those were definitely nice additions to my collection. There was a lot of the "lost years" that many of us have (2001-2005). They came from my buddy Eddie, and he has about 100 of these boxes broken down into teams predominantly 01-05. As long as you get a hundred cards they are a dime a piece.

I also made mention of a few Braves that weren't a dime, and also that there would be more to come. so here it is.

Some great names to knock off of the 65 set build.

Some really great names to knock off that needs list too.  One of my goals for this year was to knock down some set builds that were close. 1965 Topps is NOT one of those, but I did do a little damage (over 250 cards) at 60 cents a piece including the ones above.

Grabbed up a bunch of these 59's too at 35 cents a piece. Picked up 300 cards.

The 58's were in a lot better shape, but at .35 cents a piece i was only able to add 100 cards.

Like the Braves cards I showed last week these 55 Bowmans were $1.25 each. I grabbed a handful of them too.

Likewise I grabbed a handful of these 54 Bowman for the same price.

It was nice to add some cards to these vintage sets. No way they get completed this year or even in the next few years. Good thing I am patient (some times).

Have a great night and upcoming weekend!

Wacky Wednesday

Let's take a peek at a few cards interesting to me.

How many days are in a month?

Classic Stadium Club goodness. I would like to say that this would be hard to identify as a baseball card if we didn't know it was.

Happy smile behind that camera.

Hmm.....Is he going to eat that pie? Put it in his own face, or is it for someone else?

Great cards no matter what.

Have a great night.

Trade Day.

Another week, and another Tuesday is upon us. This weeks nominees are quite better than the HiTs from last week. Maybe I can score some great baseball with these.

Starting out with this "little" dual relic certified autograph from Finest.

More on certified on card autos.

Looks like Koren was playing with his autograph here.

This auto is more of a scribble, shame too as that would be an awesome spot for a sweet sig.

Okay folks whatcha got to trade?

Working the goals.

With one month already in the rear view mirror. I checked my self on what I got done last month as far as my 2019 collecting goals. I'm happy with myself thus far. I already posted the T206 additions. Tonight I thought I'd throw out some of the Braves variations that eat up the modern day team set builds, as well as a few traded needs, and well you can see for yourself.

1975 Topps minis.  Down to just 1 last one....another Hank Aaron #195. Of course he's not the hof on that card.

The last 1995 traded I needed for the team set.

The last Aaron parallel to the base team set, and all but 2 of the 2000 traded I need plus the last 2 2003 traded.

These 3 Saber variations for 2014.  Done.

And this closes the traded team needs out too.

These 3 variations from 2015.

And these 2018 variations.  Still a lot of variations to get, but I'm working on it.

A & G mini's

I always seem to have a stack (or two) of mini's laying around. I run into them in bulk buys. Other than PC guys and Braves I don't need them. So, recently I sent a few to an OCT buddy.  He hit me back with some I did need.

These needed mini's came via Griffin Cole of OldCardTraders (OCT), thanks Grif!

FRANKEN FRIDAY

It has been a long time since I last posted on my original/first Franken-Set. Here is the link from almost 1 year ago.   Franken set 2018    This is a binder with the cards numbers holding the spot. First rule ONLY Braves, 2nd rule ONLY doubles, 3rd rule ONCE placed it is permanent.

Since I have been in Valdosta helping my uncle, I haven't taken any new additions back home to be placed in the binder (which would be the ideal way to show off the completed pages). Needless to say I have 2 years worth of these to be placed in the binder. I finally scanned up what I have here in GA. and boxed them up to take back home next trip. 2018 definitely was a good year for this collection. So, I will show you ALL of the card backs so that you can see the numbers being added. I will say this as of today the first "missing" number is 655 (page 73) and so happens to be a number without a Brave thus far.

These 9 closed out several pages.

As did these.

The first 6 here closed out pages too, or at least they will once I put them in the binder. I can't believe that I didn't have the Chipper RC already in the binder. After all, I probably only had a dozen of those dupes since I started this thing in 2013.  The 84' Fleer checklist #654 is a Braves checklist on the front, and that marks the last card without an interruption.

Topps Total was a big help with some high numbers.

The Pro Cards minor league set you see here helped out a ton. Originally I wasn't going to use them, but I decided it was that or there would be NO BRAVES for those numbers. They are Braves cards, and a lot of future MLB'ers.

In case you are wondering the front these cards are a beautiful dark blue border.

Now this Pro Cards set Macon Braves was a sure fire addition, knocking out a bunch of needed numbers.

Yep, got a steal on this set too. $4.00 delivered. You can't grab a copy of that Chipper for that.

Again Total helping out.  The Lykes card above and below don't seem to have numbers. I think my plan was to place them in the slots that DO NOT have Braves cards available yet. It's been so long I forgot.

My original plan was to stop at 999, but I do have a few above that. 2009 Upper Deck has a run of Braves #d 973-1009 so that will be a plus once I already have them twice before (Braves set and set builds).

Here are the numbers I still NEED that MAY have available Braves: 655, 664, 740, 764, 799, 801, 803, 804, (805, 806) 1/1's, not sure what to do here, 808, 809, 810 (1/1), 812, 815, 851, 864, 886-889, 891-894, 896-899, 902-908, 911-915, 917-928, 930-971, 973-1009.

Topps Now maybe an outlet for some high numbers too.

Here are numbers that definitely do NOT have Braves as of today: 661, 670, 679, 680, 726, 729, 737, 738, 741, 746, 757, 762, 765-768, 773-775, 783, 785, 786, 793, 796, 798, 813, 814, 848, 849, 852, and 900.

Sounds like next years "custom project" mix in the 1/1's and I can close out this Franken-set.

See ya later alligators!

Something else

Now that I've got the 10 cent Braves out of the way. These next few cost me me just a little bit more.

These aren't Braves, but that is A-Okay when you pay .16 cents each. Bonus....I needed all three too.

All team set needs. These beautiful 1955 Bowman cards cost me $5.00. More on 55 Bowman in later post.

A 1954 Bowman that set me back $1.25.  I'll have more on 54' Bowman too in another post.

A 1959 Topps need.

And for some reason I didn't even have this Braves card on my want/have lists. I no longer need to worry about that because Mr. Smalley Sr. is now in my possession. This one was .16  cents too.

Have a great night folks!
