Presidents Day

I am attempting to consolidate the several Presidents Day folders I have saved. My hope is to make sure I have them all scanned. They will still be somewhat disorganized, but I will do my best.

These are supposedly original 1952 Bowman. I have my doubts except for the last card below.

Pretty sure this one is original.

Now some from a definite reprint set.

Topps reprinted the Bowman set a couple of times. Frist in 1956 which again these are supposed to be from, but I doubt it. Topps again reprinted this set in 1972. The cards I have are standard sized cards unlike the Bowman issue.

1965 Topps Presidents and famous people.

Let's knock out some odd balls for a minute. This is the only Little Debbie card that I have.

2015 Bicycle U.S. Presidents.

I didn't enlarge these.

2017 The Bar.  These are really nice cards.

Now for some really odd ones.

I actually cropped these from a place mat.  For those interested here are the backs.

I'm thinking that the Reagan back is one of the ones that had other information on the back.

That was a lot.

Plenty of PC guys for a dime, but that isn't all I grabbed

I certainly picked up a bunch of player collection cards from Daryl. But I also picked out some mini collections.

Like that Jackie Robinson parallel and the chrome trophy cups. I also grabbed up some set build needs.

Chronicles all years.

Including the SP's and parallels from the premier issue 2017.

This should be the last Chronicles I show for a while, other than maybe PC guys. Even I am burned out on them right now. I think it will be a completed year's set before I scan more. I think that I will be holding off on the 2022 release unless I complete one of the individual sets.

Should be on the PC guys next week. Have a great weekend.

Dime minis

It is always a good dig when you find mini cards in the cheap boxes. Well, for me anyhow. Here are some I got from Daryl.

Those are not dupes, the backs are all different or there is a difference on the front such as the orange or yellow Piazza.

Or an image difference like Bonds. These kinds of cards do drive me crazy. Normally I would be looking for my Braves needs, but these guys are all PC guys so I had to deal with it.

Ichiro had an image variant too.

Okay that is one way to get rolling on the dime cards. Lots of variety to come.

My uncle and I both slept last night. He was definitely in the present today, but quiet.

More cheap expensive cards

I love cheap expensive cards. Who doesn't? At just dime (PART OF THE 1500 CARDS) I snagged these up.

I cleaned house with the 2013 Topps Tribute WBC. I am now just 18 cards short of completing that set. I think I'm needing even less on the base set.

My uncle (and I have been awake for going on 3 days) he's not sleeping. His mind seems to be stuck somewhere in the past and spent NON-STOP literally 30 hours straight talking non sense with barely a breath in between. Seriously, no more than 10 seconds in between ramblings. I think he is sleeping right now, I certainly hope so and will be heading to bed myself real soon. Otherwise, my uncle is doing great. He walked with the physical therapist today about 10 feet but it was in a circle, and yes this was during the "talking" and he didn't stop even for that. His throat is obviously sore, but he thinks something is stuck in there, there's not. I pray he sleeps all night, he is eating well and drinking so hopefully some sleep re-sets his mind. His bed sore is on the mend starting to show some healing. Prayers are being answered and I am thankful. Just a bit more and we'll be in a good place.

Have a great night!

Dime cards

I hand picked 1500 cards from Daryl at the last Jax card show. That was the first time I actually picked through the cards in a decade. I usually just grab up the baseball boxes and say how much. I don't like digging like that because I know that I'll miss hitting up the other tables. I did the same at Fred's but pulled apx 500 there which we just finished posting last week. I did this kind of on purpose. The show before that one

I brought back 25K cards wound up with tons of dupes and didn't really want to do that again. At least not this soon. At Daryl's table this saved me a boat load of money, but. My back was killing me when I got done. So I left and drove back to GA. I did not scan all of the cards (everyone says whew. :) I grabbed a slew of high end brands like Topps Tribute and Museum etc.... cards for my set builds. There were a couple hundred of those and I paid a dime a piece. Wow. Very happy with that. As for the rest, I'll go scan heavy this week and see where we get too.

This is half of the high end cards. I'll finish them up tomorrow (5 scans). With that said, look 2021 Spectra for a dime. Have you seen what a box of those cost? $500 for a hobby box with just 16 cards. I know that I will never complete any Spectra set, but no way will I leave them in a cheap box.

Had a couple of great days with my uncle and he can taste again.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We'll get all pink here with the text. The cards are birthday guys.

I really need to update these "holiday" cards. I thought the scan file had a boat load of cards in it for 2/14. Guess not. I do have some here I know I can add to it. But hey it is what it is.

Wrapping it up

Just the cards from the first table I stopped at while visiting the Jax card show last week. My first stop is always Fred. Typically, that is where I get the best deals. It didn't happen this month, but still I was happy paying 40 cents for these cards. I only hit one more table which is usually my 2nd stop. Those cards (1500) will be posting next week and the week after probably. I didn't scan all of them of course (too much work). I did scan a lot though.

Now let's get to the last of the table 1 cards.

Not a ton to say about this batch. A lot of new cards, a lot of shiny cards, and most certainly a lot of parallel cards.
