No, not the greeting cards. No, not the baseball cards in my Birthday Binders. I'm talking about the cards I wound up buying with the Visa gift card one of my sister's gave me. I picked up 3 blasters from Walmart and will show the highlights only.
Obviously, a box of 2019 Chronicles.
A box of 2019 Optic. Really love that Red, White, & Blue Diamond King.
2019 Prizm.
I only pulled 2 Braves cards.
Both are prizms, one PINK so appropriate for the month. One day this month I am going to do a Pink Post.
A blog about the cards I get awesome deals on, cards that I have available to trade, trades and our hobby in general. I collect Braves cards (all of them) and T206 White Borders.

1957 Topps (and a contest PIMP)
First things first. Go to Collecting Cutch and enter another of his contest Save the Boobies
Let's cheat. Instead of doing a weekly (Monday) post of that binder, I will be randomly posting the pages in order of course. I will show page 1 & 2 of the 1957 Binder I picked up last month.
Before I bought this binder I had a total of 58 cards from this set. Most of those were not in the binder as they were aquired while I was in Valdosta and are sitting in some of the hundreds of boxes marked set builds that I've picked up over the last three years. I did wind up with some that my "working sheet" says I had, hopefully they will be upgrades if needed.
Surface issues and soft corners are Yogi's only problem which is a 60/55 percentage (Yogi math).
Another PC player of mine.
Page 2:
A nearly complete page. Highlighted by Mays & Roberts.
Mainly surface issues and soft corners again with this HOFer. No creases or writing which is a good thing.
Roberts card has a scratch in the middle, otherwise pretty nice.
I did mention in a previous post that there would be a contest. Pay attention to the 1957 posts.

My 5th and final purchase 1957 Topps
The last purchase at the Villages card show was the biggest expense of the day. In fact it was the majority of what I spent for the entire day. Back in January at this same show, I bought several binders of less than perfect vintage partial sets. Not in my normal scheme of things, as I prefer super deals on the cheap and try to avoid having to upgrade. Those binders were more like 50% complete and were on the cheap, I guess. But those bucks add up quick. Well, I purposely was looking for that same vendor, to explain overall those last "binders" I bought (7 of them) didn't make me feel as good as I went through and put my hands on each card. I wasn't mad, I had gotten a great deal on them. But still, most of the cards will at some point have to be upgraded at least with a few of those sets. Some were great. Anyways, He made me deal on the less than perfect binders again. I walked away with just one binder.....the 57' that was 50% complete, with a whole bunch of HOFers. I negotiated the price down and had him throw in two singles one of which would go into the binder. Lets look at those two cards first.
1957 Topps Hank Aaron. Surface issues, but that is it really other than a soft corner. My scanner cut off that edge, it has 80/20 centering. This card now has been placed in the binder. I still need one more of this card for the PC. The Braves set already has one.
1960 Topps Hank Aaron. Light crease on the right side, otherwise the card is pretty nice. Needed in the Braves team sets.
Well, I got you guys. By now you waiting on the binder of 57's. No, just a teaser tonight. I have 37 pages from that binder scanned already and will be breaking it up multiple posts that I will be doing on Mondays until we are through the 37 pages. THERE WILL BE A CONTEST AT THE END OF THIS SERIES OF POSTS. (YES, THE CONTEST IS ABOUT THE BINDER).

Shadow Shots
Good morning all. Today is the Jacksonville card show, but you know I'm not going. Instead I thought I would make a 2 hour run north up I-75. There's a card shop in Warner Robins I would like to check out. Supposedly it's a big one. Beckett had run a story a year or two ago on it. Of course that could have just a been a clever marketing tool. Either way I am going to journey up there. Didn't have to get up this early to go as they don't open until noon EST. I should be sleeping right now, but I'm not (my back) hasn't been kind to me in a few months especially these last two weeks. So here I am writing this Shadow Shot post. I'll make my Uncle his breakfast in a few hours then head up.
Oops, I forgot I need to scan a few more shadows up. I'll be back shortly.....
I'm back. Scanned the short stack I had sitting here nearby which should get me until Christmas. Who knows I may retire this theme then. Throwing in a bonus card this week (and next).
I'm not sure what to make out of the Seaver, but hey it's vintage Tom Seaver and the shadow is a good one. Maybe the leaning tower of Piza, lol.
Snow: I see a baseball player sliding head first into second base.
Dykstra made the cut not because his shaodw is so great, but there are at least 7 shadows on this card.
Cabrera: easy peazy It's a bird, no it's a plane, no it's SUPERMAN (without a cape).
Have a great weekend folks, it is supposed to coll down starting today, high expected only to be 93.
Serious that is a cool down. Macon (2 hrs north) sort of where I am going today was 102 yesterday without the index

Less than a LINCOLN and my 4th Villages purchase
Not a whole lot at this table. The vendor had 2 tables covered in singles with a few small sets. Everything was BUY 1 GET TWO FREE. The singles were priced at a buck, so that would make them .33 each when you count the freebies.
The Hostess counted as 1 card, but I have since made them two. (Both are PC guys). Total for the 9 cards $3.00. Less than a Lincoln.
These sealed complete sets are POST sets. They were priced at $3.00. I told the guy if I buy 1 and take my 2 free ones, that'll leave just one, can't have that. So I got all 4 sets for the $3.00. Less than a buck a piece. Less than a Lincoln too.

Purchase 2 & 3
My second stop at the Villages card show on Sept 7 was the three 2005 Topps series one 1st Edition boxes I mentioned not long ago. I also picked up a huge stack of "stuff" for $10.00. More on that in a minute, and I also paid $10.00 for three Braves figures (2 Chippers and an Aaron). No scans of anything from this dealer, but that stack of stuff consisited of about 100 binder pages filled with cards, plus 2 binders of junk wax, an 1987 Topps complete set, and a 1600 count box of misc cards. All for $10.00, what a deal, right? Well, I stopped by the flea market on my way to my house after the show to see my buddy Bob. I told Bob, he owed me $50.00 in trade. This was ten of it, and I got to take out some stuff I wanted to keep and/or send to a trading bud. Now, let's move on to the vendor #3 which was a pair of brothers (in their 50's) selling their collections. Not really dealers per say. This is where I picked up the 8,000 cards. Also noting that turns out these guys both live a few blocks from my house.
This cheap 20 card Canseco set is just an appetizer. I also got a factory sealed set of 1999 Topps too.Like I said, I bought 8K cards from these two brothers. I spent $180.00 with them for cards for me plus another $40.00 on two Binders of the original Pokemon cards for my buddy Bob. That is the $50.00 I mentioned above. I'll have a short post on what I got (so far) from Bob. Now, let's look at some good stuff.
Look real close at that RED Clemens card.
True 1/1!
Parallel super stars! Now, The 8K cards weren't all like that as the majority of them were for set builds. The scans tonight are the highlights.
Nearly the entire set of 2004 Donruss plus a ton of inserts like the DK's above (and below).
A couple of Studio DK's too.
A whole lot of Diamond Kings base and inserts.
Almost everything I got was 2002-2005.
Good thing Josh Gibson is a PC guy.
Like I said lots of inserts included.
A lot of high end sets. The Beltre on the right is a serial numbered parallel.
I like these cards.
A bunch of Arod's.
and Mickey Mantles. Like I said a whole lot of greatness in the boxes. A lot of cards for the PC as well and a bunch of set build needs.
My 4th purchase was a small one and we'll see that one tomorrow night.
