Long post: cards from Fred

This will be very scanful. I just made that word up, but you get the drift. In reality, there are only 72 cards.

1960 Nu-cards.  The complete set is in store for you tonight.

A back view. I believe these to be the reprint set. However, they are not a bright white like most information on the reprints claim. They are white though, not an aged brownish color.  The thing is there is no real information about the reprint set. Don't know who made it or more importantly when.  Doesn't matter because they are still pricey, especially the "variations" of the first 18 cards.

I probably should mention that these are over sized cards (post card size) for those who didn't already know that.

You know I love that Adcock headline.

Yeah Braves. Now they just need to clean up this year's NLCS.

You go Hank!

I still have more posts from Fred for tomorrow and into next week. Remember I only paid a Benjamin for everything.

Wacky Wednesday

 Here are tonight's choices.

Lots of good ones here, and yes I know the Canseco is a signing card too.

The Beatles

Picking right up where I left off yesterday with more goodies from Fred. Hopefully, more people care about the Beatles as no one commented on the beautiful 1969 Photo stamps yesterday.

1964 Color Beatles. The rest are from the previous series'.

Guess I forgot to crop this one, oops.

I'll have more goodies from Fred on Thursday.

Card Show posts begin.

I'm going to start with just one item.

The complete 1969 Photo Stamp book for the National League.

Definitely a dilemma for me.

This is what the backs of the stamp sheets look like.

I have decided NOT to cut them out, but to leave the sheets whole. I'm still going to check off the Braves as having them. Although, I still want individuals for any PC guys.

There's Hank along with Mays.

I got this book from Fred (my favorite vendor/dealer). Fred totally hooked up this trip. I spent a total of $100.00 with Fred. These were just the start. I value this book with intact sheets at $30.00. If you are interested in the complete AL & NL complete with sheets go here   1969 Photo Stamp sheets

Not a good start

I was woke up at 5:30 this morning by the helper texting in sick (her joints hurt) today (she missed yesterday too). Technically, I was already awake because my uncle woke me up at 4:30 and I hadn't gone back to sleep yet. This means I have to cancel my appointments for today. Not happy. Maybe posting about baseball cards will brighten my day.

I hit some big ones for my Hostess collections.

All big names, pricey too.

Especially that Yount rookie.

To close out my ComC posts this time are these three needed Wacky Packages.

Heavy is a set killer for the 1980 series 3 re-issue set, and the other two are from 1975 series 15. Not sure if those killed that set because I CAN'T CHECK MY OLD LAPTOP.

The cards helped a smidgen, but not much. Still in a pissy mood. Maybe breakfast will help.

What's next?

What is next on JTS? Hmm, I do have more from ComC. We'll keep it short tonight.

These were all set killers for me. Two more completed sets.

Four more completed sets. My old laptop had a bunch of set killers on it from a recent order too, but I guess those scans are gone. Or are they? I went to see the Geek Squad yesterday. They can not repair it with parts (too old), but they scheduled me tomorrow to attempt to transfer the data to my new laptop. We'll see.

Working.......

Working on getting the ComC order all posted before starting the run of card show posts.

Starting with my Braves tonight. I believe that completed the OH team set. Not sure without the info inside my old laptop.

CORRECTION: Not even close to completing the OH Atlanta cards.

Some SP Legends.

The cards below will be from differing years of Bowman Sterling.

Glad to get a bunch of those Sterlings marked off. Now.....let's take a peek at some vintage needs.

The 1948 Bowman is for my setbuild, it is my first card for the 48's. The 59' Spahn is so nice. The 69' Milton Bradley completes my team set and the set build too.

The top two are obviously Braves needs. The rest were picks up I went after when I got the one unexpected a few months back. Love these cards.

Merry Christmas!

I mentioned in my last post (Friday) that my ComC order arrived. I was a bit disappointed at first. No.....not because the LONG awaited package (June 14) got here with 4 days to spare. It had been so long that I had forgot that it was only 106 cards. Way back when, It would have normally been a thousand cards. Easy to see why I was thrown off. Nonetheless, the costs were about the same as before. You see this time I picked up quite a few (more than a few) pricier cards. I was really planning to have a whole month to show off the haul. 106 cards won't take that long. Especially with nearly 1/3 of them tonight.

So let's keep with post theme shall we? Yes, we shall.

There would have been three more, but they were wrong. I have NEVER been able to have ComC respond to any incorrect cards before. I think I will call this time.

My want list for the 2019 Holiday VARIATIONS are getting short now.

code 63 (SP): 8, 31, 43, 85, 101, 126, 159, 167.

code 64 (RARE): 8, 85, 95, 148, 192.

CODE 65: (SUPER RARE): 16, 26, 29, 30, 31, 33, 42, 54, 71, 72, 74, 85, 87, 95, 96,

        109, 126, 129, 136, 144, 148, 159, 167, 192, 197.

Threw you with that last one didn't I? The three wrong cards were supposed have knocked some Supers off.

Surprise

I got a surprise package yesterday from an OCT trading bud.

I was thrilled to get this complete sticker album. I actually needed two of the Braves. I will say that it was not easy cutting the stickers out. I did pretty good, still not easy.  I won't bore you with more of the same stickers that you can see on the cover.

To add some actual cards to this post I pulled these out. Pretty sure I didn't show them before.

Ozzie and Sandy are actual PINK prizms. So I dropped a couple of pink cards in for the Cancer awareness month. Love the Stained Glass Soto. I wish I could figure out all of the "things" with this new laptop. They look so dark. The Alonso is a White wave parallel.

Too dark on the scan.

Pretty sure I still have a ton of the Prizm in my SportLots box.  I'm heading to Jax for tomorrow's card show. Hopefully I come back with some scan worthy cards. If not I have my ComC order being delivered today. A whole 4 days early.
