TRADE Post

Seems like forever since I could post one of these, lol. I know it was only a week, but like I said I am spoiled.

I did get a PWE (our usual back & forth) from Ethan (playing with my cards). Lately, I've been sending Ethan a slew of Tutlenecks for his PC mini collection albeit it can not be too "mini" if you catch my drift. Ethan is the only collector that I am aware of with this mini collection, so I had and still do have a slew more. But, he also colects "Grips", 42s, "Doughnuts", St Pattys uniform cards, and something new, but I'm not sure what that is yet. We've been trading back & forth PWE after PWE for about 6 months now. Initially I loaded him up with a ton of 42s and grips, but that has been awhile so HEADS UP ETHAN, I will slip a few more of those in the next few PWEs. Thanks for all the Braves.

Needed all 9 of these.

Here, the bottom row was needed. 12 new adds is all to my Braves PC, again Thanks!

Now for the MAIN EVENT.

Recently I reached out to Wes at (Jaybarkerfan's Junk) for a trade. Wes is working on his 1969 Topps set, so I offered up the Mantle (see a previous post for the pic). Sure enough he needed it, and offered up these beauties. Caution:   scan heavy.

A Wacky Wally World Blaster of 2013 Archives

With last week not generating any cards in the ole mailbox, I had an itch. Saturday, I went to the Wal-Mart 2.5 miles from my house, and noticed two very nice "marked down 40%" blasters. One 2012 A & G for $14.98, and the other a 2013 Archives blaster for $11.98. I didn't scratch the itch though, I placed them right back where I found them, hidden on the top row behind all of the other blaster boxes. Well, I wish that I had pulled the trigger Saturday, as today only the Archives box was there (of course there are still 6 blasters of Heritage on the shelf too (there were 8 on Saturday). I pulled the trigger on the 2013 Archives today, and I am glad I did. 8 packs, 8 cards each = 64 cards (or so due to less cards in insert packs, but we'll see.

The 1969 quad mini sticker insert (nice group of BBers). These are inserted 1:8, being that there 8 packs in the box, I felt the odds were good. Now it will be hard to figure out who to trade this too, as let's see Gwynn and Padres collectors, Red Sox and Boggs collectors, Ripken, O's, and Turtleneck collectors, and Cubs and Ryno collectors. Tough I tell ya.

There was a HIT too, so let's go ahead and get that out of the way.

A Dave Parker FanFest Autograph in blue sharpie. you can even see where Dave marked the bottom of the card, although I am sure he didn't mean too. Love the on card autos. These are 1:62, great yippee.
Now lets see the other inserts:

A couple of Tall Boys (1:5, so getting two was a bonus) and lets see yeah I think these two guys are pretty decent BBers.

You would think that I was done with anything else, right? I will let you decide with the base card pulls.
first up, my Braves (BTW, the top card in the very first pack I opened was Freeman, how cool is that?)

I have all three of these already.

I already had a couple of the Mathews, but I did NOT have that Nixon. Now, interesting about the Nixon card is that it is the only one of the entire box that say on the back 'Reprint card back", so I am thinking that this is actually an insert, but it is not listed (1992) on the pack. If you know something let me know.

A few Floridians.

Hmmm. Jeter, (I need Jeters to trade my Dealer friend), the BABE!, Rivera, Cano, Granderson, and Goose, not bad for Yankees (JK) I am a Braves fan you know. The Kuroda will go with the stack of Japanese players I scanned for trade the other day.

I know, I put the A's card where the Reggie Jackson should have been, oops, my bad. Kershaw and Hanley.

Pedroia, Rice, and Boggs. (We know whose stack those are going in). And a Tony Perez.

There may be a Ranger or two that can play some baseball above, LOL!

Ozzie!

Oh look, another insert 1983 All Star 1:4. The Yount will go into my 9/16 collection.

And a Jim Palmer.

Total actual pulls 59 cards, but if you take the stickers into account that would be 62. Not a bad blaster for $11.98. I pulled some really great cards for sure even though only 2 are going into permanent collections of mine, and another 1 or two in a "not so permanent" collection of mine like the Parker auto but hey I would trade it for a Braves auto.

TRADE POST

I wasn't able to stir up any trades from last weeks post. I did update quite a bit on my Braves web page, still no wheres near finished updating, but made some headway for sure. I did make a trade with Wes over at Jaybarkersfansjunk for the 69 Mantle. I got his cards in and they are awesome. I may have to break Thursday's trade update post into two parts, depending on what comes in tomorrows mail.

AnYways, for anyone new to this blog. I collect Braves (check the link on the right), T206 (the lesser conditioned, of course), John Elway, and vintage Wacky packages. I have a ton to trade from vintage to current, heavy on the 57s, 64s, 80s & 90s and 2001. Lots of manufacturers including some of the higher end issues.

Lets get a trade going.

MONDAY MINI

Tonight I thought that I would post one "mini" collection. Not one of mine though. In the past I had mentioned that I noticed a few bloggers that either collected certain Japanese players, or any of them so that is what is in store for you tonight. I ran through my boxes, surely missing a lot but finding these Japanese born Baseballers. As I do not collect any other than those that don an Atlanta uniform, these are all for trade. I only pulled from base cards.

I have traded most of  Nomo away, but still had these left along with some Yoshii.

A couple more Nomo and some Kaz Sasaki.

Some Irabu and a few Fukudomes.

Some Kaz Matsui.

Some Ohka, a couple of Ichiro, and some Hasegawas.

And a handful of others. I am sure i missed some in my boxes, and when I run across them will pull those out too. Looking to trade these away, so if you see something you'd like shoot me an e-mail or comment here
