Yes, I have the complete Holiday set, but I got that Skenes before the set and sits in his "potential PC". The Jackie is a case hit from Big League.
Not really collecting this guy at least not right now. We'll see how he pans out for nwo I have this card sitting in my rookies boxes.
I know that I will never complete the Desert Shield set (probably not even the Braves considering the Chipper is the key card). But, like I said great cards.
Settle down Bo and AJ. These are very shiny cards.
That completes the trip or the cards scanned from the trip. I can now move on to some December gets.

ReplyDeleteWas gonna comment on that Soto jersey card... and the shiny Jackie case hit. Then I saw that sweet six pack of Desert Shield cards. I only have a handful of them in my collection. Never even thought about building the complete set and honestly... never will. But my buddy did own that Chipper at one point. He asked me if I was interested... but I was too scared to make the trade (b/c I'm sure there are counterfeits out there).

ReplyDeleteLots of great stuff on this one! Soto, Skenes, Holloday and De La Cruz up top. The Jackie is cool, but doesn't catch my eye, really. But the Benito Santiago is my favorite from the post! Always loved that card, and the Desert Shield version is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteWow that photo on the 1950 card is so much fun. Great angle of old Yankee Stadium with the Bronx County Courthouse dominating the scene. Joe D. looks so young, the photo has to be before 1950, probably before 1940. Terrific card!
