Shadow Shots, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I have no clue what I scanned a couple months ago, so let's see what we see tonight. Well apparently I used them all already. I will be saving this "started post", and scanning a few more shadows.

someone bent over, could be kneeling, or praying

similar to the first one.

a messed up mustache

Franken Friday

Another week, wow this one went fast. I have a stack of apx. 350 cards to check against the franken set, but we will get that done this weekend. For now, let's look at the next three pages in the binder. Wait a minute, I told Wes (Jaybarkersfans Junk) I would scan the 1969 Mantle for him.

There is actually a bend on the upper right corner, the scan really doesn't show much of it, but it is there I know I bent it with my thumb catching it when I dropped it once. To me I would call it a slight crease, either way this is an awesome piece of cardboard, especially for a Mantle piece, get it Mantle piece. Okay, maybe I'm not as funny as I'd like to think I am.

The back looks great too.

Great mix of players, brands, and sets.

Page 29: 7/9

Repeat of 2013 Topps, but I can live with it.

Another page with a great mix of everything.

Thursday Thanks

So a few packages came in this week so far and some really nice adds. I have been rethinking my PC Braves binders and My Elway collection, and have yet to make a decision on a change. I will let you all know when I have "made a change".

All of the cards above came from Tony  (Off Hiatus Baseball Cards). Totally unexpected surprises as I was expecting a card or two for the February contest. Whoa, do I need to hit him back with some Braves (he collects them too, and lives in Atlanta). Tony and I had a "conversation" as to whether or not I am Gator fan being that I live so close to Gainesville, FL. ( I am). He is Dawg fan, as I was growing up. I was born in Atlanta (1966: the year both the Braves and Falcons came to town), and have fond UGA memories back in the days like Herschel Walker, Junior Miller, and the likes. Tony put "Go Dawgs" on the return address label of this package. GO GATORS!  hehe. Tony many thanks, and I will have to shoot you some Braves next time.

This next batch came as a surprise from Kenny (Zippy Zappy). At first, I thought I was going to get to open a pack of cards but no, Kenny perfectly hid some cards inside this wrapper.

Kenny also zapped me with this:

So, apparently I have been zapped. I guess that is a good thing as look at the cards he sent.

You can zap me anytime. Thanks!

The above cards came courtesy PWE from Ethan (Playing with my Cards). Ethan and I send PWEs back and forth. I literally have hundredS (capital S) of mini hits for him and even more Dodgers cards. We will probably be doing this PWE exchange for quite some time.  Ethan collects, 42s, turtlenecks, grips, and the newly added St Patricks Day cards. As always Ethan, thanks. Just dropped 3 more on ya too.

all but two of the base cards (I think)

Alex (Chavez Ravining) sent over these. Nice start on the 2014 base cards so far, and without spending one nickel on a 2014 pack as of yet. Alex also mustered up some Elways too.
Thank you all, always appreciated.

Wacky Wednesday

I am tired tonight, so I apologize in advance for a short post. I do hope that some cards tonight are interesting to others. Let us get right to them.

Tried a new format, I don't like it, but too late for tonights post.

McDowell shagging fly balls. Zeile interview, and the Canseco brothers.

A loilli pop, Hudler acting like Ozzie, and Bonilla all cracked up.

A towel on the mound during a game, some water play, and Candy looks like that batting helmet is about to be tossed like a football.

 Shades and some "air-time"

Looks like a homemade do-rag, and a throwback.

An interview, and a cool Stotlemyre (the back is here tonight as well).

These speak for themselves, but the Bert and Jim backs appear again.

Pretty cool card!

A whole bunch of throwbacks.

Gonna toss the pigskin.

I said you would see the backs of these three.

Ending with some "Classic" MLBers on their minor league teams.

TRADE DAY

Hmmmmm. No, not going to be an April's Fools day post. I really would like to trade or sell, or barter this 1957 Mantle. Previously, back when I first started this blog I had mentioned that my few Mantle's (left) were reserved for High End John Elway cards. I've changed my mind, and would be willing to trade for a lot of the big time Braves hits that I need preferably base cards/parallels. I read tonight that jaybarkerfan needs the 1969, so I shot him a comment to see what that one would stir up (it (1969) is in really good shape too). Anyways, I'm in a really good mood tonight, as I got some set killers yesterday and today :). I need a lot and I will entertain serious trade offers.

And the WINNER IS.....

Congratulations Mark Hoyle for the closet guess without going over (no one went over) to how many cards in my Flagship Topps Binders of Atlanta Braves 1966-2014. Mark guessed 950... I actually have drum roll please..

1,031 unique Atlanta Braves cards in that binder from 1966-2014.

Thanks for playing.
