Shadow Shots

It's raining here in Florida, but  a wet 40s and 50s is much better than the teens and 20s we had off and on for the last couple of weeks. Not to mention I could be living somewhere else. I'm happy. Stuck at the house I might as well get the Shadow Shots done this morning.

Nothing like a little Gator (tastes like chicken, but I like chicken better). Compliments from the Rod Beck below.

Similar to the Gator, I label this one a monster, notice how the cleats are making toenails or some really short fingers. LOL.

Now here (below) for some reason I think of the Atlanta Falcons emblem, even though it's not close.

The Eifel Tower.

I see an elephant head.

This could be those stone statue soldier mummy things from "The Mummy" (the one with Rachel Weisz.

Thank you Mr. Burkett for making me think of that hot lady. Man I love it when a piece of cardboard can do that!

I see the fat ghost from "Casper".

For some reason I see a scorpion??????? Maybe a lobster?????

Now the above could be a picture all by itself. Blue sky in the horizon looking over the dessert, or it could be a bird, or a plane. A really big plane.

That all folks for today.

Trade post

Monday through Wednesday only brought in 3 packages. Not to worry, 5 packages came today, but those are for Sunday Shout Outs. First I would like to apologize for an error I made in yesterdays post. Then lets take a look at the three.

I have two of these cards, and one doesn't have the "bird poop" weird. Those marks are not my scanner (although looks close to it, I need to clean it), they are on the card and looks like it came that way. Here's the correct version or not flawed card.

Yep, no poop! Sorry. Still it made for an interesting "Wacky" card.

Now on the the three trades, First up was a package from an Ebay win. 2013 Bowman Draft Braves team set, and the Bowman Chrome Draft Braves team set. Got them both delivered for $5.52 TOTAL.

The Gattis and Wood RCs were nice kick ins, eh? Above and Below!

I think I got $5 bucks worth.

Now the second package was from Al at Beckett.

One more of those, I just posted that I got one of these recently and the next day I was able to trade for another one, Still need at least 1 more.

Al sent 3 Elway "hits" for my PC. Greatly appreciated too!

I already have several of the Chipper, but I can now put one with the Bat Barrels. I have one in the Flagship binder (#3), my brother has his in #2, and I have one with my 1st rounders (noted on front of card). I actually have 1990 Classic Chipper in binder #1.

Next package came from Don Roth (a Mets Fan) who sends me these 4 Binder 3 hits:

1985 Topps Traded.

That is it for the first half of the week. Trades in the mail: Chris (Nachos
Grande), and Mark Hoyle.  See you with the rest come Sunday. Some really COOL stuff that came in today.

Wacky Wednesday

I'll be quick tonight. 20 scans 19 cards. Here we go!

This Jeff Parrett card looks an awful lot like Vinny Castilla, doesn't it?

I just happened to notice that in nearly all of Vinny's fielding cards, his mouth is so wide open.

I'm not really sure what Archi there is pointing at. Not a bad shot for a card back, on a 1st year card.

Somebody get Deion an Apple, please. That ball looks dirty....

Nothing wrong with a little dug out fun.

Ooooh, a ball and it's coming right at me. Funny how infielders all have their own unique facial expressions. Remember Vinny and the opened mouth.

A bit too much mousse, and look a flying helmet.

Is that bird poop? Maybe he just sneezed and it's snot. ?????

Multi-tasking: Stretching and catching a ball all with the eyes closed.

Okay, he hit the ball, let the bat go, what is that in his right hand?

Nice dugout shot. In fact, this is a GREAT shot!

What happened to the end of the bat.

Peace!

Hey, I think that knee is dirty. But that isn't why the card is in tonights' post. Look at that bat position. The card back is worthy of scan too.

1st baseman in the bull pen. Okay this is posed, and Kent is all but cracking up. If you look closely you can see he is about to loose it.

What is Damion doing with his right hand, was he scratching in butt?

Now that is a team mate, shoulder rub and all.

I never understood why any ballplayer would sit on his knees and bounce the ball, or at least that is what it looks like. Maybe he was bored, after all Bruce is a Pitcher.

Where did this play take place? We have 3rd baseman, and the home plate umpire.

Closing out with a nice vintage Bo Sox, check out the background.

TRADING FOR THIS WEEK .....

Well, let's just get this right out there. 2014 Topps series 1 has 193 unique Braves cards. Jeez Luise!!! 9 base, the parallels, printing plates, and inserts. Okay I want all 193, LOL. But lets start with the BASE cards and any rainbow or minis.

That's out of the way. Here are some Topps Flagship BRAVES team sets that I'd like to make a trade for THIS WEEK.

1995 Topps
1997 Topps
1998 Topps
1999 Traded
2002 Topps
2002 Traded
2003 Topps
2003 Traded
2004 Topps
2004 Traded
2005 Topps
2005 Update
2006 Update
2007 Update
2008 Update
2009 Topps
2009 Update

Lets see if I can mark some of these off. I have a card or two here and there. So help a blogger out. If you have any of these Braves team sets or near sets email me  jfmjr1@aol.com

LMK who or what team you collect (if I don't know already). My cards go back to the 50s and I have no problem shedding the vintage for cards I need.
