Dollar box finds.

The last purchase from the show in The Villages came from the seller across the aisle from that great seller. He had nothing but dollar boxes out, and a lot of them. Half were baseball, and as I dug through them I was seeing that a lot of these at best should be in a .50 box maybe even a quarter box. I made two stacks as I dug. In the end one had 35 cards the other 31. I asked for a deal and he was like knocking off 3 bucks, I looked at him with NO WAY clearly understood. I put the larger (the ones I would of paid about $15.00 for). Took one out of the other stack figuring this guy doesn't deal. I said I put one back how about $20.00, he said okay. I then offered $20.00 for the other stack as they were closing shop. He still said no.

These are the just the highlights:

Braves needs of course.

I did have the Holiday variations already except for the Elly, that one I needed. How about that young Juan Soto.

Have a great weekend. I'm hoping to make the Ocala show tomorrow.

  1. Really nice cards and the last page resembles the current weather here in central Minnesota. Lows will reach down to the middle 20's the next three nights. Have a great weekend and enjoy the hobby all!

  2. Glad the guy sold you one of the stacks for a price you were willing to pay. I'd love to go to a show and find a dealer with nothing but dollar (or cheaper) boxes. I feel like those dealers are slowly disappearing in my area. There is one guy who occasionally sets up with dime boxes at the flea market though.

  3. I've never seen The Nice List cards before. Maybe they should do Naughty List cards as well.......then again, maybe not

  4. The dollar box guys I run into don't deal very much either. I agree with Fuji in that it seems as if it is disappearing. You find so many great cards that I never seem to find.
