Welcome to the New Year! Before peeking into the shadows let's do the year end TCDB update.
Atlanta Braves: -485
Gaming: Up 13 spots to #98
Non-sports: Same spot #27
Baseball cards: Up 1 spot to #12
Total cards: Up 1 spot to #25
Now for the shadows.
1) Lots of choices here, could be a whale diving, but I'm going with a ship anchor dropping.
2) definitely a big of some sort
3) a bird.
Now last night at 9:47 pm I got an e-mail from ComC (mind you my original ship date was 12/26/25 which was 13 days ......as they advertise with their "new rates" , albeit I check every day and it states a 3/8/26 ship date). With that said I copied and pasted the e-mail from last night..... scroll the right arrow to see they sent this on 1/2/26.

Yeah, they still expect to ship it on 12/26/25 (8 days ago) and they let me know on 1/2/26. I say we in the blogosphere start a 100 spot grid to take bets (per square) on how much longer they will remain in business.
Here is the revised current status (originally it was 12/26/25).
| Status: | |
| Tracking: | Not Shipped Yet |
| Date Requested: | 12/13/2025 |
| Estimated Ship Date: | 3/6/2026 |
| Items Ahead of My Order: | 578,894 |
ANOTHER UPDATE TODAY WHEN I CHECKED STATUS, NOW SHOWS SHIP DATE OF 3/9/26.
Enjoy the weekend! Four more weeks of shadows.

Mine was scheduled to ship 1/7 (I requested 11/29) and only just got rescheduled to 2/13. No notification of the change yet. I'm 200,000 items ahead of you in the queue though I have no idea how they're dealing with the different priority classes. And yeah this is worse than peak COVID.
ReplyDeleteWell my order arrived 10 days after the original shipment date but one month before the revised shipment date.
ReplyDeleteI give them 1-2 years.

I was hoping you would catch that nimrod with the Braves on TCDB, but at least you gained in other areas.
I feel like as long as there are rich people, companies can charge as much as they want. COMC might lose some customers due to long shipping times, but the scalpers and flippers that that can pay out the butt for expedited shipping will do just that and the collectors who can’t or won’t pony up the cost will just miss out on the cards from the site.
I would totally support a set made by true collectors that has every player in it, even if it wouldn’t have logos. It ticks me off that deep pocket collectors and scalpers can buy up all the products, charge over market value, leave nothing on the shelves or online, have tons of elite sets like Triple Theads, etc made for them, be the reason for 1,000’s of parallels, ruin shows by driving out dime and vintage boxes, make slabs popular, bash people’s knees at shows with their stupid briefcases, and be the only people that can shop on COMC cause of shipping prices. The bubble has to burst, and I will gladly take a hit on card value if companies overproduce as long as these scalpers and flippers leave the hobby.
Rant over
1. A muscular arm flex.
ReplyDelete2. A squid.
3. A stork.
Impressive numbers. Keep moving forward. Hopefully everything works out with your order sooner than expected. Enjoy the time all!
Sorry to hear about your struggles with COMC. I drained my balance (technically have $1.09 left in credit) and requested shipment back in October (received in November). It's super sad to see their downfall, because I loved buying cards over there. They had something special until the shipping debacle.
ReplyDeleteAs for the shadows, here's what popped into my head:
1. hammer
2. Imperial probe droid
3. stork (head up) with a horse body
yep...me too. I drained my left over money (although I haven't seen it yet). BTW, got my package, thank you working on it right now.
