A Bad News Post

Still need 15 more for the giveaway!

Not to be one to spread misery, but like they say it loves company. Friday my mailman (Daniel) who is awesome brought me and literally he gets out of his van to hand me my mail when I am outside, but this time he handed me this:

Standard size envelope from the USPS themselves. The tear you see here is one that I did to open it.

The back had a sticker note for me.

This is what was inside.

I was wondering why I hadn't seen a look at what I got post from Dillard's Dugout.

Michael I am so sorry this never made it to you. As you can see it was mailed on 10/3 and I get the front cover only of the bubble mailer on 10/31. I went to my local post office first thing Saturday (after posting), and they said you had to file a claim online. It has been years since I had to that. So I tried, all kinds of problems left and right, up and down, you name it just wasn't happening. Called in to the tech line, a bunch of stuff got worked out, but still couldn't file the claim. Jumped through some more hoops, and when everything seemed to be progressing, "error" call tech support.

I did, and again no help, just would let the "techs know" to check it out.

After a 2 1/2 hours of trying to get this claim filed, i finally got the website to submit the claim, now it's a waiting game. We'll see how it it all goes.

Meanwhile Michael I am so sorry you didn't get the cards that I had been setting aside for you. I'll get working on another stack.

  1. That is terrible! I have had quite a few packages lately that have been handled like they went through a meat grinder. There have been many that have taken a tour around the country on their way to me. I have always been taught that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. There is nothing straight about some of their journeys. It's not always easy to stay positive, but I try hard most of the time. Thanks for spreading joy Johnny!
