The Local card shop (Grand Slam Collectibles)

I mentioned last week that I would be stopping in my LCS. I did on Friday, and I'm glad I did. I got two monster boxes of the cheap cards plus something extra, and decided I would go back on Saturday rather than make the drive to the Tampa show. That too was a win.

I'm breaking the Friday trip into three posts. I haven't touched the cards I got on Saturday, except for a side deal I made with one of the workers on some personal stuff of theirs. My guess is at least 5 posts from Saturday. Who knows maybe more, or maybe less..... We'll see once I go through it.

I'll start out slowly and by post three I'll bring out what I was most excited about getting. The first two cards above are LEGO mini cards and I didn't know they existed. Some vintage non sport cards.

Some 80's non sport mixed with a 1953 Bowman card.

You will always find autographs in the quarter boxes (5 for a dollar). I obviously don't pay that price. Nobody special here or below. There was some football that I left in the boxes, they may have even been certified autos.

Never heard of the 2 basketball players, but decided to grab them as they were certified. I looked them up, maybe a buck or two a piece. Not bad for less than a penny and half each. BTW....I am not attached to any of the autos, if you see one you want we can trade.

Including the vintage autos. The middle row isn't signed, but for a penny plus each I wasn't leaving them in the box. Same thing on the lone football card, too old to let it sit for a penny.

Have a great night!

  1. Those 2 Star File Star Wars cards really stick out. Had both of them in my collection way back in the late '70s.
