Looks like we made it. I did it....I really did it..... I see the light! What happens next?

 Those post title cliche's probably have y'all guessing/wondering about a completely different thing. Then again, messing with you folks is part of my thang.....now isn't it?

Let's cover those title topics one at a time:

1) I've made to the end of my PC update.....sort of. By the time you are reading this I will have completed the Y's, which only leaves a few Z's to contend with.

2) Same as above!

3) Same as above! The Z's won't take too long a day at most.

4) Ahh....What to do next..... I think I may catalogue my birthday binders guys. That too is a big task as I have never done any sorting, listing except for when I first started the collection. It is sort of a lengthy thing. Anyways....that is what I am thinking, also thinking about going through every dupes/trading box I have. Also a lengthy process so why would I do that? Well, looks like Mr. Dave Roberts is going to be a shoe in (as a manager) for the HOF once eligible which means I need every card of his pulled out of those boxes. 

Now for what you folks were really thinking about when you read the titles:

I haven't heard a word, not a peep from that Auction House in Texas in 3 weeks. Zippo, nada, nothing. When we last spoke he said he was going to have a buddy from Tampa reach out to come by and do a pre-inspection and estimate the total value before he actually flies down. Nope nothing 3 weeks now, and I am a bit of a character so If I do hear from him again, I may just to tell him to go kiss my mighty white XXX.

Now for tonight's cards, they will be a mix of incoming cards from OCTer trading buds. I will resume with the oddball posts either Friday or Tuesday.

Wacky Packages Wednesday: Giveaway #3

 I be dawg gone. Greg done went and did it again! Back to back for the Night Owl. Greg these too are in that stack. I might try to get them packages up by week's end. It depends, have some outside plumbing issues to contend with.

Totally ODD: Even for non-sports

 The week immediately after the Deland card show I went over to Grand Slam (LCS), and there wasn't much "new" for me. Steve the owner said he had a bunch of junk in the under construction Gaming shop next door. I didn't find anythign to crazy, but I did get some odd ball items.

I found these (I think 53') non sport cards that have long since been sent to trading buddy Jim Craig who has just about every card set in existence, but he didn't have any of these.

I was blown away that TCDB didn't have these 1991 Simpsons listed, and when I inquired about why was told because no one had ever requested it.???????????

Thought these were cool.

Some of the coolest vintage non sport finds for sure.

I'll wrap up this part 1 with the pair above. Shame that the Captain America is torn a bit, but still cool.

I have at least two but probably will do three more posts of the odd ball stuff I brought home that day. The rest is Baseball for the most part if I remember. This is the day I bought that stack of Wacky Packages stickers that I posted several weeks ago. You know the ones where I got the idea to host the Wacky Packages Wednesday giveaways. You know like tomorrow......

The clean up spot: Deland show deal 2

 Deal two was basically a bust in that it really wasn't a deal. I did find some new to me Braves.

I also found some mini collection needs.

Along with some PC additions.

Below we find some that fill in some set build needs.

I like finding the high end cards in the cheap boxes (dime/quarter) These however were in a dollar box and cost me about .75 each. OUCH!

Celebrating my grandson's birthday this weekend (his birthday is next weekend, but he's with his dad).

Deland show: 2025 Topps Chrome Platinum

 I'm picking up right where I left off the last time. The Chrome Platinum has just been released days before the show so finding these for a quarter was great.

Nice start to this year's,  uh um... Last year's set. Next up with be some highlights from the 2nd deal I made.

Wacky Packages Wednesday: giveaway 2

 This week has totally flown by so fast. Here are this weeks freebies.

Getting back to the DeLand card show from last month.

 It has been awhile. The first deal I made will carry several posts, a couple I've already posted and tonight plus one more.

As a reminder I erred when estimating the number of cards and was off by at least 100-150 cards. I thought I'd be paying .18 each and wound up paying .25 a piece due to my miscalculation. I'll blame it on the heat as the a/c went completely out while I was digging in two 4 row boxes. In fact pretty sure it was blowing heat for about an hour. Yes, I prefer heat over cold, but not like this. 

I broke up the cards for the deal one posts into sections. Braves, PC, set builds, and MISC which is pretty much how I do things. Tonight is the PC section and Thursday will be 2025 Topps Chrome Platinum set builds pulls (these were just days after the release of the product).

Here is the third round from deal 1.

A quarter for these was okay.

Seven cents may not seem much , but when you're talking hundred and hundreds (near a thousand cards.....it adds up.

The series two cards were also fresh on the market when I found them in the boxes.

My 2026 Topps list is pretty short which isn't a bad thing because I was going to hold off and just buy the complete set which was released a few days ago. Not necessary now.

Here is what I need:

As you can see I still need a few from series 1 too.

On a side note: Topps is getting better.....If you can believe this the 2026 Topps Chrome parallels have been lowered.....This year there is only the base and 51 parallels.

Just another Maddux Monday plus something

 To kick start All-Star week some housekeeping is in order.

1) The winner of the Wacky Giveaway was the Night Owl. Greg, I have a significant stack of Dodgers from my recent PC updates and I've put these with them. I'll mail them soon.

2) Speaking of the PC update: I am on the V's. I dumped a couple, decided to box up a couple too. A Cowinkie dink: This past weekend I started sorting my Verlander and began entering them into TCDB on Sunday, before Verlander announced he would be retiring this year. The last few years have basically been a bust for him. I was really hoping he'd get to 300 wins but the 260's will have to do. That of course will not hinder him getting into the HOF, that's as good as done. Now onto the Maddux cards.

Looks like we made it! The Last Day! Finally here, we did it!

 We made the week or at least through it. As a reminder there is no telling what all you will find here tonight in this 4th Celebration post for America's 250th! 

Now typically when it comes to my Holidates binders I will show off some athletes that share that day (July 4th here) for their birthdate. Here is that portion to start things off.

Next we venture it to the MISC section.

I'm pretty sure that I have a few monster boxes of Bowman product that I still haven't gotten to for set builds that contain some of those Bowman International USA cards.

I believe that these Finest World's Finest are some of the best Patriotic cards I have. The scans do not do them justice.
