More from Apopka

Round two from the Apopka card show last month. This time are the fifteen cent PC guys. (Pulled out of quarter boxes).

Definitely had some color to them.

I plan on hitting up the last card show of the year in The Villages tomorrow....wish me luck! I will have 2 more posts from the Apopka show with cards that were in a TWO dollar box which I paid a buck a piece for. Some were good deals, some were bad deals, and most were even steven.

Apopka card show: Part 1

New to me Braves. I have broken the cards from the Apopka card show last month into several groups. First up were cards from quarter boxes that in the end paid fifteen cents a piece for.

Some of the new to me Braves actually went to that player's PC or to the actual set build rather than to the Braves team sets. The first 2 scans were for set builds.

Next are for the Braves binders.

I did already have that Ritchie, but because TCDB doesn't list it as a Brave I originally put the one I already owned into my "PINK" collection.

Here you can see the Smoltz cards that went to his PC.

The last scan (below) were various priced new to me Braves cards.

The blue turkey Red Albies is numbered to /50.  I picked up the complete Star set with Justice and Maas. I had already owned and the Justice (I still dislike him very much), but the Justice cards were in the Braves team cards and these will go into his PC.

See ya tomorrow with another round of cards from Apopka.

Another Ebay win. 2023 Topps Finest Star Wars

Got this complete set delivered for under $24.00. I made an offer on this complete set as I previously only had 3 cards from the set. The seller countered and I accepted.

As simple as it seems, I don't think that I will ever get 100% of the Star Wars sets out there completed.

Have a great weekend. I hope to knock out 6-7 things off of my to-do list.

INCOMING: Night Owls drops one on me.

A couple of weeks ago I got a package from Greg.

Greg helped out with some Braves needs or at least I believe so. There was another one that I did already have too. Those Topps sandglitter's, confetti's, and whatever else they're called drives me nuts figuring them out.

Greg also sent along these set build needs, that I had mentioned in his post on the set that I needed.

He wrapped the package up with these Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band cards. I remember going to the "picture show" (theatre/ movies) back as a kid to see the film. Friday night feature films cost a buck and half back then. Dang, the candy was expensive too and those super extra large sizes (double in size what they are today) was a whopping .50 same for the soda or popcorn.

Thanks Greg!

Back to the ORIGINAL theme: Wacky Wednesday

For those of you that maybe new here or those that may have a slightly decreasing memory this theme goes back more than a decade and it basically cards that I find INTERESTING for one reason or another. some might be wacky and others just great shots for a baseball card.

Starting it off with a great mix.

What a deal!

Here is another Ebay win that not only was is a great deal but the seller went way over the top.

1) I bid on a 85 card lot (all different) of 2026 Finest, an expensive set and won with the total with shipping less than $20.00 delivered! That in and of itself is sweet, of course all of the cards are from the first tier 1-100, but still. Very nice indeed.

2) With 85 of the 100 (tier 1) the big names were in there.

As you can tell here that the Tatis was a refractor and not base. That is okay he is a PC guy. In fact there were a total of 4 refractors in the 85 card lot.  Leaving me with 81/100 of tier 1. That's okay too, and did I mention that the seller included a nice stack of "extras" including but not limited to a handful of 26' Finest dupes.

A key rookie in the middle.

More key rookies.

Those were well worth the twenty bucks, but like I mentioned earlier that wasn't all.

4 more refractors of PC guys to go with that Tatis one of which.

That is a nice stack of PC guys from the "extras" the seller sent plus there were also a handful of rookie extras. But the seller also included partial sets/lots of three other recent sets. He plugged all of them into a 300 count box and 4 days after winning the auction (4 days) they were in my hands.

The other partial sets (which I just pulled the rookies and PC guys out) were from 2025 Topps Update, 2025 Holiday, and the last group was a keeper for my set builds 2025 Topps Pro Debut.

Yes indeed, a well spent Twenty bucks.

I am going to attempt to hit that show in Apopka that Jeremy mentioned tonight, and if it's good I can skip the Jax show tomorrow. The Apopka show is usually a small show and the last few times I went didn't really find anything to my liking, we'll see.

Have a great weekend!
