That's a good thing. I see a cardiologist tomorrow to see if the next step is the cardio-version (shocking) my heart to see if that gets it back to normal. Now before I went to my annual VA check-up appointment where I wound up in the hospital I had went to 2 card shows. One in Tampa on the Friday before, and the other was in The Villages on Saturday. I also visited the LCS here last Friday. So I have scan or two to show off. I plan on keeping them all short.
Now Phil says 6 more weeks, humbug!
This first post contains the goodies from my first purchase at the Tampa show below.
Love that Coke Ripken card.
That's it for tonight.

Hope everything works out for the best. The VA takes care of us, and Im very grateful.
ReplyDeleteWow, I completely missed your medical adventure. Best of luck tomorrow. ... Your package arrived today, by the way.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself and glad you were able to get it monitored! I had a good friend from grade school / high school pass away from a heart attack on Saturday. He was only 49!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed! I love that serial numbered out of 250,000 promo sheet. I have the matching non promo one for Timlin and I think have the promo one sitting at COMC. I really need to get my stuff out of there including my stuff for sale.
ReplyDeleteGreat additions! Good luck tomorrow, I hope and pray everything will go well.
ReplyDeleteI like the 1962 WS card. I was born in 1962. Praying for accurate diagnosis and treatment for you. Enjoy the time all!
ReplyDelete👍
ReplyDeleteHoping it goes well for you today.
ReplyDeleteFleer sheets were always cool.
a. Those Marathon gas station cards are sweet! Simple design with nice action shots. Plus I like oversized cards.
ReplyDeleteb. I remember those 1992 Fleer Rookie Sensation sheets. The owner of the card shop I worked at had a few. Not sure how he acquired them though.
c. I totally understand most of the country being sick of winter. But here in California, we could use a little more rain... so I was glad to hear that Phil saw his shadow.
Sorry to hear about your medical issues. Just said a prayer for you. It's nice to have our childhood hobbies to bring us comfort as we age.
ReplyDeleteI missed your last posts but I hope all goes well!
ReplyDeleteJohn: Good luck with your trip to the VA. Bill
ReplyDeleteHumbug indeed.
ReplyDeleteAs I get older I find winter and the cold harder and harder to deal with.
Hope all goes well. As a heart attack survivor, it’s not something to take lightly. My unsolicited advice: listen to the doctor.
