Breast Cancer Awareness and a double dip for Halloween

A play on words there, forgive me. But seriously this is to say the least a twofer.

First and foremost, I could not let the entire month go by when normally I post thousands of PINK cards in honor. I have contemplated this since last year. I posted my Topps cards and was supposed to get to the non-Topps cards I believe for Mother's Day, didn't happen, and still have about 500 pink cards sitting on my pool table waiting to see if I even need them in the Pink binders. I've have so much going on that I really couldn't spare the time to cut away from the way too many projects I am working on. Somehow I have managed to stay sane (well....according to most people anyways :) This past Saturday I went to Tampa for a card show and will be posting stuff from that at some point next month (or the next). One thing though is I did get some PINK cards and before they join the 4 stacks on the pool table I wanted to get them out here and though different from years past, I still got a PINK post in.

I feel better now.

Now we can move to the orange/black.

I put a new twist on the Holidate and with that said you'll see the addendum.

First up are the usual athletes that celebrate/celebrated their birthday on this day.

Oops, I forgot to pull the sticky note off.

I've gotten super laxed at looking at birthdates on the backs of cards these last few years.

I have added a couple though.

Now for the new addition this year.

Not bad for a Friday post. Be safe, be wise, and have a great weekend.

  1. Would be cool if Topps tied in their various color parallels to charities that match.

  2. Nice pink cards and the reason behind it is great. That is a big birthday group. The angled effect on the Halloween cards almost makes my eyes cross when they are lined up together. Happy Halloween Friday all and enjoy the weekend!

  3. Now that I think about it, this may be the first October/pink post I've seen on the blogs this year that I can recall. It used to be much move prevalent. I should really make a point to set a reminder and do one myself next year...

  4. I was just thinking yesterday how Topps Update is coming out later this year, which means no Halloween-themed parallels ... unless they're going to put them in anyway.
