The 4th visit begins today

The 4th visit to Grand Slam collectibles is the visit where I bought those 21K cards.

I will break it up into 3 sections, although most cards did not get scanned because of they are going towards set builds, and let's face it that would be just way too much work. Heck I haven't really been posting "completed sets" the last couple of years even though I have certainly completed many.

Tonight I will do a variety from what was in those boxes. Some pretty cool stuff.

I was able to add some cards to the pretty ladies binder.

Likewise, found some stickers too.

I did find a few inserts, variations, parallels, buybacks, and even a couple of numbered Diamond Kings.

Starting line-up cards are always a plus and when combining the current (at the time) release of parallels it's a win.

Lots of good cards too.

I pulled a good chunk of that Canseco set too. I figure the rest of the set was mixed in the other boxes (they had bought 200 monster boxes).

Pulling out a handful of these Safelon lunch bags discs was fun especially with the HOFer's and other Stars. Nice start to the set.

Now, this section is over but there is still some goodies yet to be seen. The next post for this series on Monday will be the auto's and relics cards I pulled out (keep in mind I got random boxes) so I am figuring they were in every one of those boxes too.

Have a great night and weekend too!

  1. Very nice on the Safelon Lunch Bags, even without The Penguin.

That Duke Snider Starting Lineup card is sitting in an online cart for me right now.

  3. Lots of interesting photos in there.

My father-in-law is originally from Yonkers. I'll have to see if he knows Safelon or that address. I know Saw Mill Road is a major street.
