Finally, I made it to the post of the card show in The Villages.
It seems like months since this show, it wasn't. However, I have been to 3 other shows plus a shop since. It was better than the previous two shows. Still, I didn't get a bunch of stuff.
I am keeping PC guys, and I put the other BoSox in for Matt. I also bought a dollar card of Dale Murphy but it was a dupe/trip. Oh well. I spent $5.00 on cards instead of books this time.
Now for the giveaways. Nothing special but all 3 cards given away to the first 3 followers (if you're not following...... hit the FOLLOW button of this blog to comment and claim ONE of the cards (on this post by midnight EST Friday).
1)1954 Bowman Eddie Robinson #193 (creased, but looks good).
2) 1965 Topps 6th series checklist #443 .....UNMARKED
3) 1968 Topps Sal Bando #146 (might actually be Milton Bradley version....not sure).
Catch y'all Saturday!
Waa de e Boggs . Thanks.
ReplyDeleteBoggs isn't up for grabs, sorry.
DeleteGood giveaway, I like giveaways on the blogs!
ReplyDeleteDespite their oversizedness I do enjoy those 90s Post cards. Wish cereal still came with box cards today.
ReplyDeleteThe ones up top are 1987 Wheaties
DeleteTook me a little too long to realize you meant 1997.
DeleteI did mean 1997
DeleteNever seen those decals before. Kind of cool. I looked up the Yankees from that set, all five had pretty terrible photos.
ReplyDeleteThis post inspired me to pick up a 1997 Wheaties box with an uncut sheet featuring Gwynn, Bonds, and Griffey. Can't wait to get it into my collection. The problem is by the time I have it shipped to me, I'm going to forget that you were the inspiration. That's why I'll just say it now. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThose Wheaties cards are cool. Never saw them before. If nobody has claimed the 1968 Bando, I would be happy to give it a new home. Thanks John! If you get some new followers, please send it to them instead of me. See you all Saturday.
ReplyDeleteYou are the first to claim one of the vintage cards....Bando is yours.
DeleteI don't recall seeing those 1990 Post cards, if that's what those are in the first scan. Pretty neat!
ReplyDeleteTWO FREEBIES LEFT: The 54 Bowman and the 65 checklist
ReplyDeleteThanks for those Red Sox decals - I had never seen them before!
ReplyDeleteThose are nice decals. Put them on your trapper keeper (for us children of the late 80s)!
