Super short post tonight, 6 scans in total.
This is where I need your help. I have mentioned this before. 3 of the 4 cards above are different than the other one. They are virtually identical other than the three have that silverish coating on the borders too. Side by side the Tatis displays the difference. No idea what they are. The parallels whether tcdb or beckett, do not mention this. At least not that I have read. They are not foil filigree, those are super easy to tell. All I see left is the silver portrait which would be the Tatis on the right along with all of the ones below.
With just 4 scans of the A&G, I'm adding a couple of Diamond Kings scans to balance things out.
I wish everyone a fantastic weekend.
I looked into this as I know you have without any ideas. Is it possible that they are a printing error with the silver not cut off where it should be? Just a wild guess. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so, because I have probably fifty of them in total that I got from different places.
DeleteThank you for the cards from my guesses at Halloween birthdays. The Battey auto is cool! Earl was one of my favorites growing up. Hopefully you solve this mystery. Thanks! Randy
DeletePerhaps it is just bad quality control by Fanatics. Wouldn’t be the first time as Heritage had a similar problem. Maybe they use different types of cardboard or something.
ReplyDeleteNo clue, but nice looking cards.
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for shoddy printing? Unless Topps does stealth parallels.
ReplyDeleteGot the Mantles - thank you!
No idea about the issue... but I love seeing all these Padres and A's represented in this post.
