Braves sweep the Mets! Now that is how you take over the division and title (of course the Braves need 1 win over Miami or 1 loss by the Mets). 2nd team in the NL with at least 100 WINS, 3rd in all of MLB. Yay, I feel good.
Okay let's get to the set.
The last half was much better than the first half.
We are getting to some of the great deals that I pickked up at the September Jax card show. There is so much that it should last for all of October, so it will be November before I get to anything I picked up this past Saturday at the Jax show.
Friday night's winner was: Jafronius.
Agree, the blue half is better. Congrats on your Braves.
ReplyDeleteNot happy. With the Braves, with the Mets.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy with the beating the Jays laid on the Red Sox
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, some of the best uniforms and one of the best times to watch baseball was covered in this set. I also agree that this set wasn’t really that appealing and that the Blue rookies are better than the gold stars.
ReplyDeleteThe rookies brought back some fun memories. I’ve probably got in person autographs of 40-50 percent of those names and another 10-30 percent through the mail. Wish I had the set back in the day, I might have tried to complete a signed set.
Happy with the Braves sweeping the Mets, but what the heck happened tonight?
ReplyDeleteNothing, that was the problem, lol.
DeleteThe set is ho-hum..
ReplyDeleteBraves and Dodgers seem destined for another NLCS showdown!
ReplyDeleteBowman's Best always seems kind of cool, kind of bland.
ReplyDeleteI had Jesus Luzardo for my fantasy team in Finals, so I'm happy :) .
My team (Twins) fell out of contention a while ago. Always a Twins fan. RJ

My brother called the Mets' collapse at the hands of the Braves at the start of the season haha. I've got no issues rooting for Atlanta
ReplyDeleteThis set is probably in my top half of Bowman designs...but that's not saying much since I rarely have anything good to say about Bowman designs to begin with!
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to see a Tino card pop up on your blog, even if buried in a so-so set!
