The PC: Cee's part TWO

We left off with Joe Carter and his laughter. I'll pick up there in a minute. I got caught up in the UPDATE so much that I've redesigned how I have my off-line list as well as how you look on-line at my Player Collections. I hadn't intended on a redesign, but I once I got going I couldn't stop. Now as I progress the update I take care of those others as well. Check them out, it's a lot better now. I'll also be switching up how I post these updates too a little bit, especially once the E's are done.

Newest Braves

Newest to my collection that is. This really being a Braves blog (sort of), I'm saddened that I haven't posted any new Braves cards in awhile. So here some I ordered from Just Commons, I mean CardBarrel before Christmas, and they showed up today.

2017 Bowman Chrome Draft, still need 4 of them.

I picked up the same base Bowman Draft cards as the Chrome plus the Maitan above. No sense scanning them right now.

My first taste of the Panini Chronicles. I don't like them (just need them). I dislike them so much I didn't even bother to scan the back so y'all could finish reading the card.  LOL.

C these PC cards

The last time I updated rather attempted to update my PC's was mid 2015. I made it to the E's but only posted the A's and B's. So my scan folder still has those original scans from the C's, and instead of adding hundreds of more scans I will JUST be showing those already in the folder with the occasional single.  This should get me to a manageable position.



Without saying anymore.....

There were 3 hundred to scan, so I just did this one, sorry Fuji.

One of the things that I noticed about Joe Carter while I was updating his PC is that his card backs OFTEN have him laughing.

I really believe this man truly enjoyed and loved playing this game.

How'd I do?

When reviewing my 2017 collecting goals as associated with this blog and my website, I did pretty well. But you can decide for yourself.


1) Try to finish some more sets this year. I did complete 16 sets, so that is definitely worth an A. I did however have hopes of knocking out my 80's & 90's base set builds which didn't happen.


2) Try to add at least 4 T206 cards to the collection. DONE A+.

Yes, that ONE is a reprint, lol. I have 4-5 more that I got this year that was sent down to Ocala and didn't make it into this binder yet.


3) Try to find a monster deal like I did in 2015. Or at least some super good deals like I did in 2016. I knew this one was going to be tough. I don't really think I stumbled into any super deals. I guess the best deal of 2016 was the almost half set in NM condition 1972 Topps for $40.00. That was a GREAT deal, but not enough to warrant an A, probably a B- at best.

4) Make some headway cleaning up my Braves want lists. A here, not perfect but I can live with it.

5) This one was an easy one, get out those Super Trader packages I had laying around for ever. Done, A+.



There you have it. Successful....yes.  Perfect.....no.

My goals for 2018 are shorter and simpler and I'll list them around the new year.
