Quarters anyone?

Some of us remember playing quarters. I would imagine a few of us may have been pretty good at  it too. Alas, I'm not posting about that drinking game. Pretty much everything else I picked up at the last card show cost a quarter or less. I have four different posts with these pick ups. Tonight's came from

I didn't grab these for me. I just couldn't pass on the parallel that I hadn't seen before.

Same goes for the Piscotty up top. I'm not sure which one is a parallel, but they are different. Couldn't pass on the Adam Jones, just too purty to leave in th ebox.

Took a chance on the Chippers and I did have most of them already.

All in all I picked up 262 cards from this seller at just under a quarter a piece.

The rest of the story:

No, this isn't a post about the late great Paul Harvey (or his son). This post is more cards from the October Jax. card show. I bought cards from several dealers, four of which were all quarter cards. I will begin those later this week. A few other purchases were on the menu for certain. I will highlight those tonight.

A bit creased, but I added a couple more 53' Bowman colors.

From this same seller I also added these less than perfect cards.

That Kell is in really good shape. The Valo cards are not dupes. One is a red back the other black back.

Two other purchases from separate dealers were these. I needed the Boog for my cup collection, just 2 more now. And the Spahn ..... notice it is numbered 10/10. Paid $15.00 for that one. Very happy.

Wrapping up Fred's cards.

So far I have posted the 1969 Topps Photo Stamps (NL) album and intact sheets, the 1960 Nu-Card Baseball hi-lites, The Beatles, the PC pick ups with a few Braves mixed in. All from Fred and all for $100.00, but there is still more.

A handful of 1964 JFK cards.

And closing out with some 1963 Midgee Flags.

There you have everything from Fred. Not bad for a Benjamin.  I have lots more of dealers to get to this week and next. I also want to get to some of those "recovered" scans from my old laptop.

Let's do this

I'd love to start off with telling y'all good morning (5:00am) as I am writing, but this won't post for roughly 15 hours so be safe this weekend. :)

some 2021's.

Complete 12 card Colla Collection Nolan Ryan.

I went through Fred's player "stacks" again. Grabbed up some more Trout. The 2nd card there I have no idea what that is. I have told myself it is the rainbow foil, but I've never seen a card that looks like that.

Nice chunk of cards to add to the PC boxes that yeah gets sorted again next year. Approximately 15,000 PC cards to check against my haves lists. Yes, I NOW HAVE THAT DATA again. I didn't get all of the data off of my old laptop, but I did get all of my Excel files which is where all my card data was stored. I also retrieved the "scanned" pictures which are the cards I had planned to post about last month. I have so many post keyed up right now that should carry a couple of weeks, but I will get to those "old scans".

Have a great weekend!

Long post: cards from Fred

This will be very scanful. I just made that word up, but you get the drift. In reality, there are only 72 cards.

1960 Nu-cards.  The complete set is in store for you tonight.

A back view. I believe these to be the reprint set. However, they are not a bright white like most information on the reprints claim. They are white though, not an aged brownish color.  The thing is there is no real information about the reprint set. Don't know who made it or more importantly when.  Doesn't matter because they are still pricey, especially the "variations" of the first 18 cards.

I probably should mention that these are over sized cards (post card size) for those who didn't already know that.

You know I love that Adcock headline.

Yeah Braves. Now they just need to clean up this year's NLCS.

You go Hank!

I still have more posts from Fred for tomorrow and into next week. Remember I only paid a Benjamin for everything.
