Just 1 card

 Tonight, just 1 card to peruse. It is the very last card needed for the 2014 Topps base set.

Yelich completes the base set. I already had a copy of this card, but that card went straight to the CUP binder. I am pleased to knock this one down. Now I just need two cards for the Update set.

DeGrom #50 (I'd like to get both versions x2), and Betts #301.

I promise there will be more than enough cards in tomorrow's post (The Hank Aaron post) to make up for the lack of cards tonight. Be prepared to spend more than a minute here then.

Wacky (Baseball cards)

 I threw a bunch of "interesting" baseball cards into a new file last year. They may only be interesting to me, but hey that is what counts right? This is the theme, I ran with for years after I originally posted the original Wacky Package stickers back in 2014. 

Top row: arguing with the ump, tee shirt, and a throwback uniform.

2nd row:  Kid, just wacky looking, working the rosin.

3rd row: Gold cart, notice Harold's logo on card is just about sitting on his jersey logo, same thing for Brook.

I'll try this going for the rest of the year, see how it goes.

A few vintage cards from a bud at OCT

 First up prayers go out to Tiger Woods. Hoping for a full and speedy recovery.

An OCT trading bud sent me a few 61's and a pair of 68's for my set builds.

Not what I had hoped

 Last month (January 2021) After we lost Hank Aaron, I had said that I would put together a proper Tribute post using the cards in my Hank Aaron (PC) binder. Well, I've have my binder here in GA now, but I am supposed to have 297 Aaron cards (I do), but the binder only has 214 of my 297. The missing 83 cards are in the PC boxes that I have back home. I would need a couple of days to go through those boxes to find the 83 cards. I never have that kind of time when I drive back to Ocala. I usually have about 15 minutes at the house before heading back to GA. 

In case you hadn't noticed I've been away from my blog for the last few days. I needed to reorganize the binder, not that that means it is organized per say. Just placing cards in "sort of" a chronological order. That is done. Now I just need to scan the pages, then crop the cards. I'll work on that stuff this week and hopefully have the 214 cards/ish in a post after that. In case you are wondering Hank Aaron has (according to Beckett) 5,357 cards/items. Of course most of those are not vintage, much like my collection I have several vintage Aaron's including his RC 54' Topps, but that is with the Braves team sets. I have said in the past I wasn't going to grab multiples of the high priced cards. Like the 54' I would need 3 copies so that the set build had one. I may just move those to the set build in time. Who knows, we'll see.  

What is really crazy is Acuna Jr had 2,459 cards for 2020 (7,042 total) and I'm sure it will trickle up. WTF Topps?  Really??????? Aaron 5357 Acuna (in 5 years) 7042......

Okay, I feel better now. I vented and have updated you folks.

Your eyes are not deceiving you, that A&G card is a die-cut. Okay, maybe you didn't catch it the first look. I didn't know these were out there. Really cool in hand.  10th Anniversary convention card. There are three versions, the other two are numbered (1 is a 1/1). Another needed 90's parallel I needed.

These three plus another card that I already had came via a trade with reader Oren. This millennial parallel cards I needed.  Thanks Oren.

It's Presidents Day

 A day picked to honor our past Presidents due to several having birthdays around this time.

I have picked up a handful of Prez cards in the last year, but I haven't scanned them into this file yet.
