What to do...Ahhh I have an idea

No, I'm not trying to figure out what to do because of the "staying in the house" thing. It's my everyday everyday already. LOL. I've kept myself very busy these last few weeks bindering up my set builds. I've already put 40 sets (whether complete or not) in binders. Well, more like 50 sets in 40 binders. I plan on doing another 10 binders (15-18 sets) by the week's end. Yeah, I've plenty do on that front.


I'm talking more on terms of last Friday's most disastrous Big Fun Game. In the end only two players picked prizes. Not to bust on anyone, these are trying days for most people. I would however, like to emphasize the importance on starting and finishing the game in just a few hours or an hour that would be AWESOME. This can be easy to do, the game typically starts between 6 and 8 pm (to account for both coasts), the same WILL happen this Friday and the pecking order is always known beforehand. see here is this Friday's batting order.

Still yet, what to do? I feel that with a 3 hour time difference between the coasts that Player 1 WILL have until 9 PM EST to take their turn, thereafter each player should be able to make their choice within thirty (30) minutes.  This doesn't mean that we can't still finish within the first hour. So with that said  (all EST)

Trevor has until 9 pm to make his choice 9.01 the boot comes out

Gavin has until 9:30 pm (6:30 his time)

DK has until 10 pm

Julie has until 10:30 pm

Jon has until 11:00 pm.


I think knowing that you are on the clock might help.... I don't know let's see. I hope it works better for some FUN rapid play. At least I'll only have to stare at my blog for a few hours instead of all night. So this Friday folks let's try to get it done. I'm a big supporter of the hurry up and wait philosophy.

More on 2020 Donruss

I have the set, well, I need 2 of the 4 SP right now. I need the chicken, and Domingo #261, 262.

The set is similar to the past recent as you have seen. Tonight, I'm going to show just the 2 SP's I have and the 38 variations (I have them too).  Some are just plain ridiculous, and all are totally unnecessary.

Okay, here's my take on the "variations". Some are nicknames, those are easy and have the same photo......NOT GOOD!    Some actually have different photos, that is okay, usually fielding vs batting (vice-versa). Then there are most stupid variations.   Just a close up version of the same photo, some are barely noticible at that.

That's it.  A total waste, especially when they are not short printed like the 4 SP's.

Variations series 8.

I just got done updating my set builds and Braves want lists. Last month I cautioned people NOT to send me anything without checking with me first as I had 2000 set build and Braves needs enroute.

Nobody checked and I got plenty of cards over the last few weeks. Fortunately, the only dupes I got were done by me in that HUGE Sportlots order. I ordered from 5 vendors, which I have scanned some highlights from each seller.


Here are the results from seller 1:

The top two groups are the prettiest of Hostess out there. But they'll do for right now.



Moving on to seller 2:

A whole bunch of Topps album stickers. This is the last of what I got either.

I love closing out a team set. I did a lot of that from this HAUL.




Seller 3:

See more stickers.

Got a lot of Braves needs, and a handful for the PC, but mostly set builds from this guy.

Almost everything I picked up was .18.  However there were a bunch at .25. and a couple at .36.



Seller 4:

.18 for that 61' Fleer!  Grabbed some Braves needs, and a few 75' mini's.

mini's.  I picked up close to hundred mini's.



Seller 5:

Love me some Pacific.

I grabbed almost the entire set at .18 a piece. There were 2 cards that were a buck a piece, and I don't know that the last 5 cards in the base set had the parallel.


Anyways, this is just a sampling of what I got. Overall, very pleased.
