Shadow Shot Saturday

It's raining, and looks to be doing it all weekend all day.

No way am I going to say what that shadow looks like.

This shadow looks like a baseball player, great shadow at that.

I see a gymnast swinging from one of those bars hanging up in the air.

Outta of he'ah.

The King

No, not Babe Ruth, or Hank Aaron. Talking about the King of Rock n Roll. I have quite a few Elvis Presley cards back home, but I only had a few here to scan for today.

Three good choices I think. The first one is a shot of a very young Elvis. I was not quite 12 when Elvis died back in 78'. You see my birthday isn't until September 16th. But, I remember August 16, 1978 very well. My mom was in tears. Elvis had that affect on the female persuasion back then. Lots of ladies were distraught.

The last card has the song title "Suspicious Minds" which is what a lot of people developed after Elvis died.  Some people thought he wasn't really dead, and was living out his life in secret. Oh those suspicious minds.

Anyway, just a little memorial tribute to the king. If I had some cards worthy of a Woodstock post I'd done those this weekend too.

Have a safe and great weekend folks.

Chronicled.

After busting and showing the 9 boxes of last year's Chronicles which did include the serial numbered and parallel cards the first go around, we can now concentrate on them by themselves.

Here they are without any idea of what box they came from unless you go back and look at the previous posts.

Again, Panini did a pretty good job of making some cards without the logo. 3 of these 6 aren't affected whatsoever. Look darn good.

Other than Ryan's Select card these are pretty sweet, and NO WAY would a NY on that Judge improve the card.   Great batch here for sure.

The biggest pull of the whole lot was obviously the numbered 4/10 Ohtani there at the bottom.

And as a bonus (more so to show off how anal I am). Look at the Prizms.  Starting at the bottom lined up side by side perfectly until you get to the tip top.what's up with that?

Relic trades anyone?

It's been awhile since I posted from this theme. I'm trading my football (then basketball) game used memorabilia cards. After the ones I have here in Valdosta, I'll be back on the autographs. Looking for baseball in trade (preferably Braves) but not mandatory. Make 1 trade or trade for all 6 cards.

Denver Broncos and a low serial numbered card.

Buffalo Bills numbered 56/375.

San Diego Chargers not numbered. Boston college.

Dallas Cowboys and Antonio is not numbered.

 Houston Texans, not numbered.

Jaguars, low numbered 58/99.

LMK.

Chronicles Box 9 (last box)

Straight to the last box. There will be 1 more post of Chronicles to wrap up the highlights (serial numbered/parallel cards).

Box 9.

All PC guys.

4 out of 5 ain't bad. And the odd man out is a serial numbered card.

3 Pc Guys guys.

A very nice Judge Crusade card there.

Rapture again.  All said and done now All raptures but for 1 Cosmic through the 9 boxes.

I'll "Chronicle" the highlights (parallel numbered cards) to close out this series.

Shadow Shot Saturday

Well, not going to the Jax. card show today (again). But, that's okay. Just two more of the Chronicles posts to go and then I'll have to figure something else out. Anyways, time to stare at a shadow, rather 3 shadows.

Lokks like some sort of cartoon dragon or dinosaur.

It's a bird, no it's a plane hitting a bird (or vice-versa), could even be an angel.

Real easy to say the tail end of an airplane. This card might be better off in the wacky folder. You know darn well that baseball has spin on it.

Have a great weekend.

Wacky Wednesday

First, some housekeeping.....

If you were 1 of the first 10 commenter's on my blogaversary post please make sure I have your correct/current addresses.  Thanks.

Another week has past. Time to spotlight three more cards that I find interesting for one reason or another.  all 3 will come from none other than Stadium Club!

What concentration. Now, did he keep afoot or hit the ground? I don't know but I believe he hit the dirt.

I see popcorn, but what is that brown stuff coming out of whatever that is holding the future spillage? So two posed questions there.

I think the card itself is great. I just like individual player cards to be of the player named, unless of course it is an action shot or similar where a "cameo" could lurk.

Have a wonderful hump day evening.

Blogaversary

Today is August 5th and just so happens to be my blog's anniversary. Year 6. I probably should have used this post instead of the box of Chronicles. No worries, I'll drop two today.  I've really appreciated the trades I made via the blogs. I've even made a bud or two. Earlier this year I was considering just dumping the writing, and become a reader. Heck if I don't find me a new card show close soon I may have to. Hard to write about baseball cards when you're limited to your cards being in a different state than you are. I really need the card show pick ups. I may even have to sneak into to that Jax card show to see a couple of buds and get out quick. I don't know. So for right now let me just give away some cards.

Rules: 1) Be a follower of this blog.     2) Comment below.      3) First 10 different followers will get card/cards.

That's it. Pretty simple

Shadow Shots

Three up three down. Three more vintage cards to yell about.  Oh yeah,  Good Morning.....

I really have no clue of what is in this shadow. You'll just have to take a crack at this one for yourselves.

I'd just say that the "artist" could have done a little something "more".

Okay, I see a wolf.

Have a great weekend folks.

2019 Braves

My latest order from Cardbarrel was in Valdosta when I got back from Atlanta to drop my Uncle off before heading home to Ocala. I was in a hurry so I just took the package with me and opened it up Friday night after getting in from the hospital.

Here is what was in the CB package.

My SP's from A&G thus completing the base Braves for me..

A couple of 2019 Prizm base.  Still need the rest of the Braves (8 more).

2019 Finest. Just need #108 to complete the team set.

The Diamond Kings with Optic look so much better than the Donruss set this year. Really looks great in hand.

Sorry Ozzie, got you upside down.  That almost completes the base Braves team set. Somehow I missed Freddie #175 (base card). I'll get it next time.

Grabbed these holo Prizms, and look I didn't skip Freddie there.

A pair of purple prizms which are serial numbered this year.

A pink numbered prizm, and a "We the People" Freddie serial numbered to 76.

I've done pretty good getting my base Braves cards knocked out this year for "normal" sets. I do still need some though (besides the ones mentioned above). Haven't seen any Topps Chrome yet, but there are 10 that I will eventually scoop up, Still need two Heritage cards 489 and 500, I need 1 Gypsy Queen #311, Bowman Platinum 19, 20, 21 are needed., iception I need 4, 61, and 100., Museum need all 6 (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9), pro Debut need #4, and I need all 7 Leather & Lumber as well as the 7 Museum Braves.

Have a good night.

Chronicles box 2

Heading right to the cards.

Box 2:

A pair of Bryant's, Ohtani, and Bellinger. Good pack to start.

Equally as good as the first pack.

Ohtani, Harper, and Goldy work.

All five would make the PC if I wasn't building the sets.

Triple Rapture.
