1970 Topps trip cards

New decade today. I already had a good bit of 70's to start with, but I was able to throw in a few more cards out of those 2 boxes from that horrible trip. You remember that trip, right?

I see that mark.

Slightly stained.

Go figure clean card, lol.

Maz is in decent shape.

Creased, and there 2 of these. You'll have to wait to see the other one.

This back is great!

Nice, 2 different Aaron's for the set build.

Okay, so I added 8 cards, but 7 of those puppies were big check offs.

1969 Topps trip cards

It seems many did not like the 68's design, so let's take a peek at 69.

A Pilots card and 2 manager cards in this first 9. Not to mention a vert young Staub!

The back on Bauer is cool, but a lot of wasted space.

Now Rigney's back has a lot more appeal.

Bottom row is pretty sweet. Maz in the middle is nice too sitting right next to a former Topps AS rookie.

That doesn't happen to often now does it?

First 5, fantastic. Drysdale, Kaline, Mantle, Rose, and McCovey. Scott was also an Topps AS rookie member. That Mantle checklist is clean too.

I certainly hope that the 69' set is more appealing than the 68'.

1968 Topps trip cards

Nothing like a little siesta. That's not true, there are lots of things as good as a siesta. But, it was a nice 2 day break. Congrats go out to the Dodgers for their win last night.

There were many 68's in the boxes, so you'll have to look at them 9 at a time. Did Dan see a pretty girl walk by?

I already had that CUP in the Trophy Cup binder, so this one fits nicely in the set build.

That Astros/ Coly 45s Rookie Stars card will definitely have to be upgraded.

I recognize a couple of those names.

Lum wil have to be upgraded.

Another cup.

I was able to add 79 68's to the set build, of course some of these are marked for upgrades.

One more post of goodies that came through the mail before I resume the trip cards.

Some Braves I picked up via the Bay.

I've knocked down some vintage Braves lately, and there's is nothing like taking down a big name. Besides the blemish at the top, and that's all that spot is this card is in great shape.

There is another version of the Chipman without the copy right that I still need.
