Quite often on the OCT (old card traders) message board, someone puts up free cards they call them waiver wire which really means "no return necessary" although I wind up sending some return fire.
All of the cards in today's post came from Bob D'Angelo from OCT off the waiver. This is just a small fraction of the 2016 Topps Update he sent. Put a dent in that needs list for sure.
The same thing with these 2016 A & G. Put a HUGE dent in this set build.
Bob even sent me his doubles on minis and inserts. I already put away the keepers so these are available for trade.
Same here other than the Mays, that one is a keeper.
That first card is a Holiday Topps Chrome card. Bob aklso sent me the A & G Baseball Legends inserts, but I quickly placed them in the keeper stack (I didn't scan them).
And sent about a hundred of the High Numbers too. Another HUGE dent. All in all there must have been 6-700 cards. Wow!
A blog about the cards I get awesome deals on, cards that I have available to trade, trades and our hobby in general. I collect Braves cards (all of them) and T206 White Borders.

I'm home
At least for a couple of days, then gone for a couple and back for a 5 day stay at home. I'm exhausted. Good news though, I came home to a whole bunch of cards waiting on me. But before I start showing them I am going to post that short one I mentioned a few days ago.
A couple of weeks ago I had found myself browsing the Dollar Tree when I stumbled upon Cracker Jacks.
I grabbed up two of the 3 packs because it was highlighting new prizes and baseball was the theme.
I ripped all 6 boxes open and this is what fell out of each one.
I was let down, :( I didn't even get all 4 of the pieces. Oh well.
I was hoping it would be like these.
Sorry about the glare. I also have the 91 Topps Cracker Jack set and I'm working on the standard size base cards for 2004 and 2005.
Starting tomorrow I will post the cards I came home too.

Christmas Time
With the Big Day less than a week away. I thought I'd do something different this year. Normally I would show ball players that have 12/25 as a birthday (would've also included Gavin now with a nifty custom blog worn relic I have) on Christmas Day. However, I have a lot of trading cards that bear the Christmas spirit and thought I would just show them. The first up will be a set well near set. I say some of those cards are cool, and if you're a history buff, you may like them anyways. After that set well, YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO LOOK.
Shiny foil although it dpesn't show so good here.
As you can see, missing 2 cards here.
and one here.
here too.
2 more.
Okay to some cards that are just a little different.
Cool, a baseball card, Conlon, and Babe as Santa.
A football card.
Now, I could overwhelm you with Coca-Cola Christmas themed cards, but I wont.
Topps.
It's MILLER time!
I'll take two of those under my tree please.
Campbell's Soup anyone?
You must 18 years old to look any further, if you are not exit now.
No lines crossed here, really.
Even this one, but it is definitely pushing it.
Now Miss Betty here crosses the line. HO HO HO!
Bite me, bite me.
Here are 9 cards I was missing in that first set. I still may be missing one or two, not sure.
I hope you all have a blessed Holiday Season whatever that may or may not be. I'm still out of town, and I only have one more pre-scanned post, but I think I'll save that for a short one when I get home.

What can $37 at the Flea market get you?
#1: We'll limited to baseball cards. #2: Going for quantity/quality (in other words, no monster boxes for $5.00, none of that. Although, there are a few million available at that rate just so you know. Come visit, rent a u-haul and take those with you. LOL.
Back to the $37.00 worth of pick-ups from last Friday.
Grabbed 2 of these, one to break up for PCs.
Same here, grabbed 2.
There was only 1 of these, dang it, anyways cool spin card. I p[ut the cards in a plastic case. Easier to store that way.
Minis, which I did already have complete sets, and 2 of the 87 already soI get to break these up for the PCs.
Didn't need these either, but you guessed it, breaking them up.
I was only 2 cards away from completing this set, done, and now can break up the one I was building.
Didn't need these at all, but hey why not. Does anyone need any?
Mother's Cookies, and yes they are earmarked for you know who, all he has to do is reach out, they are waiting.
Got the whole set, but I broke it up for the Brave, and the PCs. the rest are on their way to a trading buddy.
Tiger Sets, Earmarked too, all she has to do is reach out.
COOL, COOL, COOL, AND COOL!
NOW I KNOW I REALLY DIDN'T NEED THESE, BUT WHY NOT?
Even got 2 of the one set to break up.
Complete 60 card set.
There are some great players in this box. I had left it on my desk, so I could run the names by you, but I guess I put them up. Oh well. I'll live.
I didn't need these either, yet I still grabbed 2 sets. Do you blame me?
Very nice little sets.
He had a bunch of these, and was selling them at $15.00, Bob just threw it in. Says they book for $30.00.
Okay, I misspoke, these aren't baseball cards. Bo had a few of these sets too. Everyone of them start with card 8. I have no idea what cards 1-7 are. Does anyone out there know?
Yep, put this one with Julie's stack.
Jose goes to the PC, but I may have them already. Will was earmarked.
A Reggie set.
2 of these too.
and these......
and these.
and these....
only got 1 of these.
and 2 of these.
So you tell me for "Junk Wax years" did I do bad. I hop not, I feel like I got a steal at $37.00. Afterall for the first time all year I haggled with Bob, he wanted $50.00, I countered with $30.00, he countered with $45, I came back with $35, then he at $40.00 then I me at $37, he took it.
I feel like I won something, LOL.
