The best and last from TAMPA.

We made it. Don't forget to comment your guess here and also includes the guess for todays comment. Here are the running totals (not including todays guess) hoyle-5, jeff jones-4, noc-4, tlc-4, matt-3, patp-2, defgav-1, jr-1, hack-1. Now to the big cards of the day.

Okay, that was a play on words. The rest of the cards are regular, well most of them, no I can't say that either.

1977 Cloth Sticker cards.

I was very happy to see these cloth. I grabbed any I could for the PCs, but alas no Braves. At least not at this show, I did find one this past Saturday, but that is another post.

A couple of Perma-Graphics credit cards. 1 Brave and 1 for the birthday binders.

Have you ever seen a 3 card panel of these?  No?, me either, these are singles. LOL.

Hostess.

More Hostess.

And more.....

And more.....

And finally more.

The Kellogg's from above (before Hostess), was just a tease.

I did already have most of the Braves, but these were in much better shape.

Scanned horribly, sorry.

Last but certainly not least a 4 pack of 1969 Deckle cards for the PC.

Should I give any hints today......? Well, maybe a summation.

Table 1: 26 vintage cards from a dollar box, paid less.
Table 2: 100 cards (for set builds) from nickel box.
Unknown table: spent $5.00 on something other than cards.
Added 200 cards to the Braves, Set Build, and PCs from a quarter box  (paid less).
Plus all of todays' cards. Okay, here is today's hint... Today's cards cost a little more than all of the rest combined.

Guessing is now OPEN.

Easter Sunday Post #500

Here we are at a post milestone. #500 whoop whoop. I'm proud of that, but today is not about my blog. Its about me honoring this day, Easter. But, of course I am using cards to do so.

In some fashion or another each of these cards has a crucifix.  Maybe on a necklace, maybe an earring, maybe something else.

Even on the card backs.

Have a great Easter Sunday!

Shadow Shots, going on Sabatical

This will be the last Shadow Shots theme for awhile. Not retiring the theme, just taking a break for something different, as I will have finally cleared that scan folder out. I will be moving my currently Wednesday theme to Saturday (renaming it Silly Saturday).  My Wacky Wednesday post title will remain on Wednesday but will highlight Wacky Packages until all of my collection has been shown.

Being this is the last (for now), I will let you decide what you see in the shadows.

The last one is just so many shadows I had to finish off with this one.

TAMPA: Set builds

This is the next to last post from the Tampa card show. I will say that at one table I spent $5.00 at but didn't buy any cards whatsoever, and I didn't scan what I bought. But, that is just to help you towards the guess you make on the last post. You came here to see some cards, so here are some cards.

Even though my Upper Deck set builds want list is "lacking" to put it mildly. I still have a pretty good idea of cards I need.

I did grab an extra one of both of the Millers for the Miller binders.

A little Fleer and Studio needs.

Okay, these aren't really part of a set build, they did come out of that insert box where I was pulling most of those PC guys from. I really do like that Bush baseball card. Today's hint. These 43 cards came with the PC cards, and the Braves team set cards. All in all I "Nicked" my way through those quarter boxes (remember I didn't pay that) and pulled 200 cards. I pulled and set aside another 1500 cards for the next time I go ( I will weed most of those out then).

The next Tampa post will be Monday and that one is the last one. I saved the best for last!
Tally of eligible guesses on Mondays post so far (doesn't count this posts comments or Mondays). Mark Hoyle: 4, Jeff Jones: 4, NOC: 3, TJ: 1, TLC: 3, Matt: 3, PATP: 1, DefGav: 1, Hack: 1.

TAMPA: Cards just for the Player Collections

We have passed the halfway point from the Tampa run. Will be posting tomorrow and then the final post will be on Monday (I have other plans for Easter Sunday's post, which just so happens to be post #500 for this tiny blog).

All of these were in quarter boxes, no I didn't pay that. And no, that is not an original trimmed 67 Kaline. I'm pretty sure it was some magazine issue, it is glossy. The vendor did try and make me pay the .25 each for the inserts as they were from a box of inserts which he doesn't usually discount.

That's the back of the Kaline from the first scan. Lots more inserts.

and more inserts.....

more.... I haven't yet checked to see if I actually need any of these, that probably won't be until the summer when those stacks are high enough to spend a weekend messing with.

Pretty sure I need most of them. Maybe a few that I don't.

Wacky Wednesday

Mid week is upon us once more (personally I think that is a good thing). Tomorrow I will be having lunch in Lake Wales with two trading buddies from OldCardTraders. One I met up with last summer, the other comes down from Long Island each year around this time, to play golf in South Florida and catch some spring baseball games. He's the the guy who sent me my Elway White Whale.

On to some wackiness.

Whoopsie.

That must have been close.

Kind of makes me think he got hit in the balls and he wasn't wearing a cup.

Some backside whoops.

Dang, did you see that?

Not really my idea of a great throwback uniform.

BTW, the last CONTEST post will be Monday. Other BLOG info: After this weekend I will be swapping the two themed posts (Wacky Wednesday and Shadow Shots) days. I will be suspending the Shadows for awhile, not retiring just a Sabbatical if you will. Wacky Wednesday will still be Wacky Wednesday but will be featuring my Wacky Packages and not baseball cards those will become "Silly Saturday".

See ya.
