And in Oscar fashion..And the Winner is....... Hey everyone wins. 5 sets 5 entries.

Who gets what?

There were 5 items in your list. Here they are in random order:
  1. nick pecucci
  2. daniel wilson
  3. julie owens

  5. brian o'neal
Timestamp: 2015-02-23 05:40:22 UTC
You have randomized this list 2 times.

Nick, you lucky man you got what you asked for Pitchers
Daniel, you get the Dip shots
Julie, you get some doughnuts
Tenets of Wilson get the 42s.  (I need your address)
Brian, lucky as well you get what you had asked for supermans.

Wilson if you and Julie trade up, everyone will have gotten what they had asked for, WOW! Yes, including Daniel who said he take a "Shot" and he gets Dip Shots.

Thanks for playing!

FujiRama

Mark recently hit me up with a return Holiday package. I love sending out unsolicited packages and then magically cards come back, often all throughout the year. IT is JUST AwEsOmE!  Mark tried to hit just about every area of my collecting. Not scanned today but did get are some John Elway cards, which is difficult for people to know what I have (1,379 unique cards) without having them listed here or on my Elway blog. BTW, I have been scanning all of the HAVES for the Elways lately and now up to year 1995 this week.

I am wanting another one of those Star Stickers so I can put one in Doc binder.

Turns out I had the McCann GQ, but never took it off of my want list. In fact sometimes when I update it really doesn't save my changes, and that really pisses me off. Just this weekend I found an entire set of Topps chrome that didn't take any of my updates.  It did this time! Google can tick you sometimes, but mainly I think myWANT pages are too big, so I may need to cut them in half but only fater I "update" that second page as I stated on my goals for this year.

These are how I found that the updates didn't take, but I did need these.

I wonder why Mr. Cole goes by Popeye? His forearms aren't that big, maybe he just likes spinach, or his girl is named Olive. IDK. I think the Top of the Order are too busy on the front, that stuff could have been on the back. IDK, maybe it has something to do with how you play the game which I never have.

Some Panini stickers.

I absolutely want another one of those Sanders, but dog gone it if they didn't ruin the shot with the name box.

mark hit up the FAlcons and the Bucs! (He sent more than these)

A nice high end card from Inception, man these cards are thick!

Closing this post with this serial numbered Rookie Auto Jersey card of Michael Clayton. Thanks Mr. Fuji, working on another one.

Cya!

Instant mini collections up for grabs

On my "State of the Blog" so to speak laying out my plans or goals if you will for 2015, I stated that I would be clearing out some of my many "mini" collections.  The first 5 have been eliminated and they are up for grabs. So how do you get them? Simple..... first follow if you're not already, then comment on this post, unfortunately needs to be a lower 48 (US) States address. I will then randomize the entries (two times) on Monday and will award the cards in this order.

1) Pitchers (with bat/on base),

 2) Dip Shots,

3) Doughnuts,  already packaged up.

4) No. 42s (seeing 42 on the jersey number),

5) Superman.

There are apx. 150-300 cards in each of the 5 mini collections up for grab. Great way to start a mini collection or to add to one you already have.

Its Franken Friday

As we get past the middle of the binder we hit Pages 55, 56, and 57 none of which are complete.

page 55: 7/9 (4 Upper Deck, 3 Topps)

Nothing special on this page, I do however like the center signing card of Freeman. Also, noting there aren't duplicate players but the 3 repeat sets of UD doesn't give us much of "blend".  I prefer the pages to be all different players and all different sets, and if possible different brands. Because I use the once placed it stays philosophy with my Franken-Set, it is what it is. Most of the time we get some variety.

Page 56: 7/9

Variety on page 56 is much better, with two pieces of vintage, okay three. Topps does rule this page with 4 appearances one of which is the TSC, Score placing second with aa deuce, and just the solo UD. Good player mix, and gotta love the RC error card in there.

Page 57: 8/9

Topps dominates this page for sure and without duplication of a set. I like the way the top row was filled with Pitchers.

A little of everything

Is your zip code below?

27314, 97213, 07030, 55419, 30350, and 11572. And 02766, 60586....On their way!

We will start off the scans with two for the Lincoln Files. First up we have 1979 Topps Comics. Came from the Bay near complete set 27/33.

I already had the Niekro, but needed the Horner. DONE!

The ones below, I do not have to have and will be going into the 3K box of inserts/oddballs that I plan on trading away this year. Sorry guys, the ones above are already in there resting place.

What did it run??

Now these next cards came from my buddy Bob the flea market vendor for a Lincoln.

Yeah that is a bent corner on the Star Quest, but hey if you ain't got one, it's better than not having one.

Usually I have luck when scanning the Sportflics cards, not this time. Two of those are from the 1986 Rookies set, and the other two are from the 1986 Triple Action set.

I thought I had all four of these already, needless to say I was glad that I grabbed them up because I didn't have them.

I didn't care about the crease on the last card there. All four for the birthday binders with 2 of those Irvins were super sweet not to mention the SP Yount.

I did have the Johnson, but needed one for the birthday binders along with that Irvin. Who would pass up on the Paige?

I wish that credit was given to the A's for bringing Paige back for those THREE innings so that he could qualify for the pension.  PROPS to the A's. Either way glad to have him and to be wearing an Atlanta Braves uniform where he coached in 1968 is just awesome!

The last cards from BOB was that 2nd year Carter for the Rookie Cup binder.

Next up are some cards I got from reader John Hazen.

Thank you John

My first HANDS on 2015 Topps

Well, I finally got my hands on my first cards of this year, meaning 2015 Series 1 Topps.

2015 Topps Series 1: DONE!  It is just sickening (to me) knowing that most of these guys are no longer Braves. Now working on the parallels and insert sets
!

3 Rainbow, 2 Gold, and I believe that is the Braves run on Baseball History, (Red might be, I don't know yet), otherwise that insert set DONE!   Free Agent 40 DONE!

Arche Types DONE!

Inspired Play & Highlights DONE!

Now to work on what is left, hoping the blogosphere will fill in the rest. I am also looking to do the complete insert sets too. Off to great start with this one.

JETER.

Now to change up the post a bit.

For those that are familiar with my NAME GAME binder. Here's another one for it. Terry Bradshaw.

Now I have a question. Both of the cards below are 1990 Swell Baseball Greats.

Two completely different sets though. Great shots on both BTW.

One of the sets marketed by CMC and the other Impel, both sets by Swell (Philadelphia Chewing Gum). My question is this...... Why the two sets, by two different marketing companies. Okay, maybe another question or two. Was there a fall out, and instead of doing a Series II released a completely different set? The layout on the backs are almost exact, so I don;t know. Someone tell me.

Tuesday cards from Tony L

Tony L from (off hiatus) sent along some Bravos for me. tony took time to look over the want list page 1 and decided to hit up my oddball. I have always had a thing for inserts and odd ball items especially when they are cards.  Tony not only hit me with the odd balls, but also some team "set killers".

Complete 55 card deck (3 wild cards). I do want doubles of the four cards you see here, so that I can have cards in the Hall Worthy binders and also keep the Deck complete.

Tony originally reached out to see if I needed the above 1992 Bicycle U.S. Playing Cards Braves World Series deck. It wasn't listed on my want page, because I didn't know about it. I said yes and he sent it along with the following set killers.

1989 Bowman, the last one needed. DONE!

1987 Leaf. DONE!

1989 & 1990 Donruss. DONE! I do still want/need the factory correct version of Nezlek in the 90 set.

DONE!

1987 Classic, green back version. DONE!

DONE!

DONE!

1988 All Stars.  DONE!

1987 Fleer minis.  DONE!

All 3 sets above DONE!

 DONE!

1984 Donruss Action All Stars. DONE!

Thought I had this one, but nope. It would also look pretty good in the Flag/Patriotic Binder. So I guess I want another 1986 Donruss fold out Pop-up. DONE!

All DONE!   I love Kelloggs!

The Lemke is Museum Collection parallel. The Klesko is the Silver Signature.

The most exciting card that Tony packaged up for me was the one you see below.

Yepper!.  Awesome!  Because this Jim Dandy card I have worked up an incredible return for Tony.  Evil Grin. He as most of you know is a Brewers, rather Miluakee Fan, beit Braves or Brewers, and Yount fan. I can't wait for him to get the package I'm mailing out this week.

These are 2014 minis.

Oops!, I forgot to rotate them. sorry.

More mini stickers.

More mini stickers.

Another Kelloggs, but this one wasn't a set killer.

More mini stickers and cards.

I somehow missed cropping this page. Lovin that 72!

Didn't have or know about that National convention card either.

A big dent in this set.

From top to bottom a fantastic package, highlighted by that Goudey!   Thanks Tony.

Just wait.....
